    This hotel is a classic English building, with Irish styled pub, located in the middle of Taksim sq. in Istanbul. It is just a walking distance to the main shopping locations at the center of the city. A lot of dining place around the hotel. The hotel itself has a restaurant with a terrace like outside. The personnel is kind and helpful. Staying in this place for 3 nights, I would love to have more variation on the breakfast table. The coffee is good filter one (Americano) and it an instant coffee only. You can get Turkish coffee, you need to ask for it. I could easy take the metro or the bus to the airport, same thing when I arrived.

    I had a very disappointing experience at Germir Palas Hotel in Istanbul. The first room I was given had no windows, no air conditioning, and no ventilation at all. After a long wait, they moved me to another room, but unfortunately, it was extremely noisy from the street when I opened the window. The air quality inside the rooms was terrible, and eventually, they only gave me a fan as a solution. On top of that, since I stayed for two nights, I was forced to change rooms again on the second day because they said the room had been reserved for someone else. This constant inconvenience made my stay very unpleasant. I had stayed at this hotel before and had a good experience, but this time it was completely the opposite. Sadly, I will never return to this hotel again.
