Beautiful setting on the Lake Edge

Loved the location and the ease of waking to a beautiful setting . Lovely lady Silvia was a pleasure to meet and we were given a clean comfortable room with view over the lake to Bellagio . A lift to take us to the 3rd floor and room was spotless . Easily arranged parking and good continental breakfast . Extra pillows made the bed a perfect sleep . Brilliant resturant and bar next door called Risto Bar Company with excellent food and drinks or their is a pizzeria attached to Hotel and bar . Will return ! Thank you very much Grazie .

Nothing was wrong with our stay . We usually make a coffee in our room to ease us into the morning but no kettle in room but we went down and the view out to the lake is sublime and we made a coffee from the machine as we entered the breakfast area .

Ideal for a quick stay in the area, or ideal if you're visiting Bellagio or Varenna by ferry.

I liked that the hotel is so centrally located on Lake Como near Menaggio and near the Car Ferry terminal. The view from the lake-view room was fantastic on a Sunday morning. The bathroom was clean and spacious, with shampoo and large towels provided. The cold fridge was very much appreciated.

If it were me, I'd switch coffee bean supplier for the breakfast coffee machine. Some of the decor in the hotel is a little dated, but it's quaint and fits the price point, so it's not an issue.

Great location amazing view was situated right on the lake ferry and bus pulls in right out the front and had a bar next door and a great supermarket 30 metres away great breakfast and Andrew was and amazing host helped us many times for different things was a fantastic stay

The bathroom door couldn’t open fully as it hit the wash basin. The decor is a little tired but the room was spotless so we didn’t mind

Great stay in a lovely hotel with exceptional owners and staff.

This 19th century villa hotel is easy to find after the slow trek from Como along the winding and narrow SS340. The welcome we received was incredibly friendly and super helpful with lots of detail about the local area and recommendations on how we could spend out short two day stop over. The hotel is located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Como and a very short walk to the frequent ferry services to Bellagio and Verena. Villa Carlotta and it's wonderful botanical gardens was a delight to visit and right on the doorstep. There were a number of restaurants but to be honest, the recommendation to eat next door to the hotel did not disappoint with great service and lovely food all served lakeside. Our host was terrific throughout, providing a welcome drink on arrival whilst informing us of the hotel and the location in impeccable English. Breakfast was buffet style, plentiful juice and coffee with everything we needed to start out day. Our room, although on the small side was exceptionally clean and the much needed AC was very good. On our departure our host provided a recommended route to our onward destination that helped us avoid severe delays back to Como, but also provided us with stunning views of mountains and lakes enroute. Thank you Hotel Rivera for an outstanding stay !

Rustic Italian hotel

The owner was friendly and recommended a lovely local restaurant (Belle île) and bar for pre dinner aperitif (Vittoria 1894) Pretty village with lovely scenic ferry trip from the train station in Verenna. The windows in our room opened right onto the lake, very picturesque..idyllic

If you are coming to see the village of Como, this hotel is not close by however there is a local bus to bring you, it stops many times. Cadenabbia is a lovely village on Lake Como, and this hotel was perfect for our one night stay

Perfect location

Perfect location to explore the area. Away from crowds with frequent ferries to Varrena and Bellagio. Villa Carlota is in the walking distance. Cozy and clean hotel with the lovely view. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast at the terrace. We truly enjoyed our stay, thank you

Great value for price and location!!

Excellent location to explore the lake. Next to the ferry that will take you to all must-see places like Bellagio and Varenna. It also offers a private parking space which is highly convenient there as travelling by car may be a little nightmare. It is a family run place by friendly and attentive people. Also, the hotel restaurant is a place to recommend for dinner.

The location was great, right across the Bellagio. We also had the beautiful lake and mountain view. The staff were nice and helpful.

The room was very small, not much space even for only 2 carry on luggages, but clean. No shampoo. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average, yummy croissant, packaged meat, boiled eggs, yogurt, good coffee. No fruit.

great views and stale cheese

the view is amazing. The location was the best aspect of the hotel. You would need to have a car to be able to easily get around but the boat shuttle is just across the street so that was also useful. it’s a magical place in the winter.

The dinner. do not eat dinner at the hotel. our booking had breakfast included and we asked the hotel staff for restaurant recommendations for lunch and dinner. they recommend the restaurant next door to the Hotel and the one inside the hotel. we tried the one that’s next door and it was actually amazing value for money and great quality. we were told however that the hotel restaurant had more options and we made the mistake of eating there the second night. I would stick to the restaurant next door. the hotel restaurant staff gave us overly priced stale cheese and an oily inedible steak.

Rooms very dated, lots of road traffic noise, and noise from floating pontoon opposite. Bed extremely uncomfortable! Ended up sleeping on the floor! No bottle water or tea and coffee supplied in room. Balcony shook when traffic passed underneath! Scary!

Great view from the room, excellent breakfast, private parking, proximity to the ferry station made our stay wonderful! The window from the room overlooks a noisy street, but it didn’t bother us at all, it was nice to sit on the balcony in the evening and watch the magnificent view of Komo! Thanks a lot!

Location, close to lake and ferry

Deceiving pictures, rooms are tiny, they show tables and chairs that belong to the restaurant and you have to cross a busy street to get there. You cannot walk around the bed if you have 2 people in the room. We booked 3 rooms and not one of them had the air conditioning working properly. The bathroom door hit the bathroom sink. Next to a noisy street. Old bedspread.

Our 3 night stay at hotel riviera in Cadenabbia exceeded our expectations. Excellent breakfast meats cheese cereal yoghurt rolls croissant etc. rooms modern and clean serviced daily. The hotel is close to bus and ferry overlooking the lake. We did not have a vehicle so this was good but there is parking if you have a vehicle. Hosts Antonio and Sylvia go out of their way to help
