DID NOT FEEL SAFE THERE. It totally ruined my impression and experience about resort.

Property itself and location are amazing

Staff members. The waitress in restaurant was extremely rude and aggressive. We had to cancel second night because we did not feel safe there because of experience we had in the restaurant in the hotel. The property is small and there is not a lot of stuff worked that day. I addressed our concerns with chef of the restaurant and manager of the hotel but I did not feel like they took it serious. So I would simply not recommend to stay there.

I don’t recommend this property to any one

The size of the apartment

The staff were not supportive at all, I had this situation where my car keys dropped off in the elevator by mistake I contacted them two many times and unfortunately they keep saying they still working in solve this issue but the lied to me I was waiting with my kids and my wife for 7 hours, and the one who solve this issue from a person from the guests of the hotel saw us stuck, and he helped us brought some one from elevator company and he solved this issue after seven hours of waiting out said of our apartments

Comfortable, delicious food, clean

The staff is money-focused, they don't need to be friendly. They can just greet people and ask their room number after sitting for 2 minutes or while they're eating. It's very rude for them to ask, "Hey, what's your room number?" as soon as you enter. Not good for solo travelers

Smokers on balcony and terrace was bad, had to open and close the window/door even in the middle of the night. Talking outside at 3am woke us up

The room and view were great.

I had planned on checking into the hotel and staying here without leaving for a day but after checking in I found out the hotel restaurant was closed so I had to go into town to eat, which I didn't want to do. I am not sure why the restaurant was closed but it would have been nice to know before I made reservations. I would have chosen another location.

Relaxing mountain retreat and close to facilities

Nice quiet location but not too far from centre and right at the bus stop that takes you into town. Beautiful hikes on your doorstep, and Eiger views. A feel of nature with a goat farm in front. Excellent dining and friendly staff.

Amazing

The location was perfect. Far from the city in a quiet place with amazing view. In front of the hotel is a bus stop to reach everywhere. We definitely will come back again.

We rented a room with double bed but actually it was two single beds which has been merged made it a little uncomfortable.

Average hotel with poor staff who do not help.

The scenery was beautiful as it was Switzerland.

The staff were not really friendly. They had no elevator so we had to bring up our luggage up 4 flights of stairs and down flights of stairs. They did not help us at all.

Totally not worth the money.

Nothing at all.

The staff was very cold and mean. The room had a very strong odor, bedsheets and floor also seem dirty. Don't be surprise to be sleeping with lots of bugs. It felt more like a 2 stars hotel with a 5 stars price.

Amazing views of the mountains amidst flies infested breakfast

The location of the property and views from the windows are amazing. Since property is on a hilltop with no adjacent properties, it feels really nice with views of distant mountains.

The mattress and pillows were horrible. Couldn't sleep the first night so they had to put in additional mattress lining to make it better the next night. Pillows were very bad and the same had to be replaced by staff in the middle of the night. The gentleman at the reception did not tell us that the hotel will be observing a "No dinner / No restaurant open" policy at the property on the second day of our stay. (This is a weekly thing! ) There were no restaurants available in the vicinity of the hotel, so we had to rely on potato crisps :( The worst part of our experience was that the breakfast area and food was infested with flies everywhere. Upon asking the staff, they literally mentioned, the flies are harmless.

Beautiful nature

Aspen Alpine Lifestyle Hotel in Grindelwald offers cozy rooms with breathtaking views. The air conditioning is a rare and welcome feature. A smart TV with Netflix/YouTube would enhance the stay. Bigger rooms than most in Grindlewald Big thanks to the friendly staff for their warm hospitality and the delicious breakfast each morning. Especially Salbo for his energetic personality and hospitality

Beautiful hotel and service , but it just slipped up on a few things more a 3 star

Gorgeous location except the night we stayed there it was pouring with rain . Delicious breakfast but we were very disappointed that the restaurant was closed . We were too tired to drive to the village to get dinner . You would think a 4 star hotel would have their restaurant open mid week .

The paper cups in our room didn’t go down kindly with us . 4 star hotel ????? No ironing board or iron for travellers wanting to press their clothes.

Lovely Stay in the Grindewald Valley

Nice hotel with beautiful views of the Grindewald valley. The staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was good. We also ate dinner in the restaurant (be sure to book ahead as it isn't very big). The menu isn't large, but everything we ate was delicious and well presented. Unfortunately, we arrived too late for the complimentary tea and cakes in the afternoon, but we thought it was a nice concept.

Seemed the family rooms are the only ones without a balcony or terrace. Also, I'm not sure why they charge 5chf for parking, seemed a bit silly considering they have a huge parking lot and are located up the hill away from town.

Disappointing Experience at Aspen

The location

My stay at Aspen was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the staff exuded arrogance and made us feel unwelcome. The unprofessionalism of the staff was evident in their attitude towards guests. Furthermore, despite booking a specific room type, we were given a different room that did not meet our expectations. The room was not worth the exorbitant amount of money we had paid for our stay. Overall, our experience at Aspen was a regrettable one, and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a luxury resort experience."

Beautiful hotel with awesome views of the Eiger and Grindelwald village Spa was lovely and outside whirlpool very enjoyable Free bus ticket provided by the hotel was nice gesture Food was excellent and our waiter, Helder became a friend

The Spa is a fully nude area and maybe the age for entry should be increased from 16 to 18 years or the whirlpool, where clothes are allowed, should have a seperate entrance.

Beautiful setting overlooking Grindelwald Village. Nice decor internally and plenty of free parking outside the hotel.

Located remotely from the village. There is a bus service outside the hotel, but it is not frequent. There is no AC in the rooms, so we found the rooms too hot in the summer, which made it difficult to sleep.
