The room was clean. The district is quiet. It is located near Kurhaus and beach area.
The room is small for three people. We needed to climb up the steep stairs with luggage to our room. It is not good for senior people. There were no any parking lots for our car. The host recommended us to park the car in the garage near the hotel with price 40 EUR per 24 hours! Finally, I found the free parking at midnight till 10.00 am but it was very inconvenient to search and to wait till midnight. The beach is not accessible because the reconstruction is in progress.

The room wasn't bad
There was a scent to the room that didn't smell fresh and it never went away even with the window open

Goedkoop/cheap
Vriendelijk personeel /friendly personnel
A bit spartan, but that's conform the price you pay

Small room but I had a kettel and coffee bags, which was very appreciated! You need to have your cup! TV, fan and small table available. Close to transport and beach.
The sink in the toilet is too small, only ok for hands (to wash your face and teeth water goes everywhere). No breakfast available. Stairs and doors very noisy! But during night it was quiet and I could sleep.

Nothing
Extremely dirty (even walls, I found wrapping of some candy behind the doors), mold, bed bugs, windows could not be closed properly (on a windy cold night), staff called at 10:55 to tell me I should leave, though the check out is by 11. They also take photocopy of id's/passports, though they are not allowed to do it. For 70e per night, I felt robbed.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the room. I only needed a quick one-night sleepover and this was a cheap deal on booking.com, so my expectations were pretty low. It is a 2-star hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was surprisingly spacious. The building is obviously old but charming, well-maintained with functional heating and shower. It was a ceiling room so angled walls on one side, with a large window with a pleasant view of the village street below. The bathroom was fine, spacious enough and actually larger than I have had in some more expensive hotels. There was a cozy nook with a tiny bureau, there were nightstands with drawers and a large closet for clothing. There was a percolator and some coffee. The beds were fine. Sheets and towels were comfortable. I did not try the TV.
The location was very good. Very close to the famous Scheveningen beach, two different bus/tram stops really close by, a commodity store across the street, and the village center with supermarkets, shops and cafe restaurants only a short walk or 2 tram or bus stops away. I would definitely recommend it for travelers on a budget.
The room is on the 2nd floor and accessible by a (typically Dutch) narrow, steep, curving stairway. There is no elevator. While I have no problem with it, a less mobile person might find it a bit challenging.
I was staying there off-season so it was pretty relaxed, but I can imagine noise being a problem in high season. People down on the street were very noisy around midnight. It is not very sound-isolated, so although guests are politely asked to be quiet when returning at night, it is hard not to disturb anyone. The door jammed a bit.

I always knew that it was a basic budget hotel and that was reflected in the comparatively low price compared to other hotels. There were limited previous reviews but they were generally bad and so I was forewarned. The bed linen was clean and the small bathroom was adequate with hot water for the shower, except on the last morning. The location was excellent for the centre of Scheveningen and beach. Free wifi that actually worked well.
The reception for the hotel itself is located about 100 metres away from the hotel entrance. Very noisy on two particular nights with doors banging when multiple rooms occupied by groups or single families. Hot water not available on the last morning. Impossible to close the bathroom door when sat on the toilet. Carpet not particularly clean.

Very friendly staff.
Very close to the beach.
Supermarket, cash mashine and any shop you need close.
Great TV channels, to be precise better TV channels than most 3 and 4 star hotels in the Netherlands.
The rooms are extremely clean.
It's a great place if you just need a room to sleep and are outside all day or maybe a few hours there to watch TV and eat.
If you want a own toilet and bathroom you need to pay a bit more... and then it's the best price here in Scheveringen, The Hague.
I had a very small room 8m² at the street and when the sun shines in you need to ask the very friendly staff for a fan, because the temperature is getting really hot in there from 10am to 6pm (10-18h).
I had no own toilet. The floor of the shared toilets smell a bit and the floor of the showers are a bit dirty. They need intensive cleaning. The fact that the shared bathrooms are dirty is more so the fault of the hotel guests than of the hotel cleaning ladies.

Well managed , good location and the bed linen/towels were almost brand new. Small touches like coffee in the room and a good reading light was a plus.
The room was not well insulated against noise-both from other rooms and from the outside, but nothing a pair of earplugs could not solve.

Location. Very close to Scheveningen beach
A very cheap room which is was not reflected in the price.
Cleaner knocking on the door and opening it without even leaving you the time to answer as you're in. Not really great for privacy.

Comfortable bed
I stayed for two days. On the second day, I realised that my sponge had vanished from my room. My towel had been changed but my bed wasn't done. Something I couldn't understand.

The location was great nearby a tram stop and the theatre! Not a far walk from the beach either.
The window even though closed still sounded like it was open and I could feel the cold from outside coming into the room the whole time but when asleep I didn’t feel the breeze.

Very good location and chiper price . To sleep and going somewhere this hotel is good solution
Quality depends on price. Location is most important thing. For 2 stars it's okay

- Location was great. It is near the beach area and tram
- The staffs were accomodating
- Basic necessities were present
- The pillows and bed were too soft.
- I can hear other guests who were probably using the bathroom until 2 am
- In the private bathroom, there was no floor mat or small bathroom towel for the floor. As much as I was trying to be careful, I slipped and had a bruises on my sides and back. I don't know if I broke a bone but I was able to return home with difficulties walking.

My room and the other facilities were clean. Bedsheets and towels were clean. No nasty smells. Conversations with the owners/staff were pleasant. When the noisy neighbors were not active in the hallway, the room was quiet.
It's a long list. This location benefits from a shortage of affordable accommodation in Den Haag and surrounds, which explains why so many customers accept its shortcomings.
- The price for a room without bathroom is way too high.
- The room was very small (probably 10m2) and the owners' costs were obviously saved at every turn.
- The steep stairs had no guardrails and the danger of falling a story seemed great.
- There were no drawers to store clothes, only a narrow wardrobe with three coat hangers; the floor was oddly uneven, not in a charming way.
- The desk was so small that it could hardly accommodate a laptop.
- The TV remote was taped together and didn't work well, and there was no channel listing for orientation.
- There was no in-room list of instructions about my stay, including Wifi and checkout times.

We had a very secure place to park our bicycles and easy access to a key when we needed to use them to travel around town.
We had a very good stay and found nothing that we did not like.

everything very convenient, nice staff reacting flexible, 5 min walk from the sea.
it was the lowest price in Scheveningen. Taking the price into consideration the Hotel meets a high grade of comfort. a kettle in the room is super convenient for me and rare in my hotel expericence in Europe.
clean. wifi. hair dryer.
I didn't try breakfast since I don't eat in the morning. asian food is bookable from the room.

The location: close to the beach and public transport.
The room with the single room was tiny with a mattress so soft that I seriously considered to sleep on the floor. I would have if the room was clean (which I doubted). The room smelled so bad that it was impossible to sleep even with the window open. I asked for another room, so I got a room with a double bed. That was a lot better, but still not very clean (housekeeping forgot to throw out a pizza box from the guests before me). And the mattress was still way too soft so that was another night of me sleeping bad. Thankfully I'm home now and my physiotherapist can work on my back, thanks to this horrible experience in this hotel.
