It was a last minute booking here as we missed the cutoff time to cross the border at Bulembu (4 pm).
The hosts were very nice people. We asked if they have dinners and they offered to help us get a pizza in the guise that they don't feel like cooking that evening. We ended up cooking a simple meal in the small but functionable kitchenette in the room instead.
The tastefully-decorated cottage is nestled amongst the trees in their lush garden. There are stone slabs as stairs to reach it. The door has grilles and we were advised to keep it locked at all times.
Turning into the property can be a challenge for a bigger car, depending on the route you take. It is advisable to come via Pilgrim's St rather than Van Der Merwe as the narrow road has a gradient, and the turn in is too steep.
There is no wifi but there is hot water.

Very different with a beautiful view over Barberton. Peaceful, clean and a well equipped log cabin. Welcoming hosts.
Fine for us, but not for anyone who is disabled.
