It’s an excellent place for a short stay in Norfolk.

It is in a lovely location and the town centre is within easy walking distance. Staff at the property were very helpful and polite.

Weekend away in Wymondham

Easy to get to. Parking. Large bedroom. Great location. 5 minutes walk from town centre. Building beautifully decorated.

Lack of clarity about parking terms and conditions - large signs on car park wall stating could be fined. Contacted owner twice about this, but they did not respond.

Cold and disappointing.

No breakfast. Ok getting in and help with key retrieval. Location good.

Cold in the room. Shower needed switching on at a very high level to start working and needed a stool from bedroom. Then stopped after a couple of minutes and would not work at all even after trying to switch on and off at high level switch on the wall. Husband had to finish washing at the sink whilst standing on a stool to reach lower levels of body as didn't have a flannel to use !!

The rooms are exactly as described and imagery! Lovely and clean, warm and cosy!

Bathroom could do will a spring clean. New sealant would be advised. Cutlery and kitchen contents could do with replacing and updating at a very little cost.

Stayed in top floor apartment that was very spacious, comfortable and well presented. Despite 5deg outside room was exceptionally warm.

Comfortable stay, great location.

This property is in a great location - right near the centre of town. There are 4 parking spaces based on a first come, first served basis. The room was big with a little kitchenette but we didn’t really need it. The room was warm and comfortable. The view was out the back of the property across to a nearby pub garden.

Warning: Once you have booked this property you need to pay a refundable £96 damages fee!! This gets returned once you have checked out and the room has been cleaned. I did not see any reference to this extra payment on Booking.com but it’s possible I missed it. The money was refunded the day we checked out. Also our room overlooked a nearby pub garden which has lots of outdoor lightbulbs around it - these were kept on all night so if, like me you like a dark room to sleep in, The City room might not be for you. There are others rooms with different views.

Very good!

The room was lovely - could benefit from some re-decorating, but was clean and best of all was on ground floor so I did not have to negotiate stairs with my bad knee. Will be staying there again.

Stains on sheets and counterpane. Sheets thin and poor quality Sharp corner on kitchen work surface nearest bed. TV badly located in corner next to bed! Tight space around built in wardrobe and dressing table. Water in shower cold. Our room on second floor was a bit of a struggle to get to with bags. Clock not working. No bedside lamps only one bedside table. One overhead light bulb out. Only one chair

We will definitely be booking again. Small negative but massive positives

Check in was simple. Comfy bed, plenty of wardrobe space/hangers, great facilities. Communal area was clean and tidy. Outside was well lit. Plenty of street parking. There was a slow leak from somewhere which i reported and I had a call within a few minutes to enquire about the exact issue. We were offered a move which we declined but found the owner/manager extremely keen to remedy the situation.

The bathroom in our apartment could have done with a bit of TLC. I mentioned previously about a leak in the bathroom. This had obviously been a problem for some time as there were water marks/scale on the tiles around the floor where it had leaked. I think maybe the shower tray had been replaced at some point but the old sealant was still stuck to the floor which was a shame as it's an easy fix.

Apartments at No 10 the Abbey review

The central location in Wymondham is a lovely pretty village with plenty of facilities including a train station. Close to the oldest pub & within walking distance of a one stop shop. Warm cosy apartment.

Cooking facilities in the same room as where you slept meaning when cooking the room got very warm . Issue with the blind reported but never got resolved. The shower was lukewarm & there was only 5 spaces for parking despite having around double the amount of rooms. Although on road parking was available but only for an hour so constantly having to move the car in the morning, although at least a reasonably priced car park within walking distance.

Comfy and convenient for short stay

Beds comfy, linen lovely and clean. Decor is pretty. Sometimes can get a parking space outside. It’s clean. Staff friendly and remember guests.

Limited cooking things despite the kitchenette- sharp knives needed and salt/pepper/oil would be handy for a one night stay. Overnight issues aren’t dealt with as on-call doesn’t work. Bathrooms need a refurb and some ceilings paint repair. Fire alarm went off one morning for ages waking us up when we didn’t need to be.

Pleasant stay, hosts are brilliant and the apartment is clean and tidy.

Very nice apartment, which was very clean and had all the required bits.

It was very noisy in the area. Not specific to the apartments. It was also bin day the following morning and you can hear everything! And someone set off the fire alarm so we all had to evacuate. Not the hosts fault, just unlucky for my stay.

Great short stay apartment

Nice, quiet location. My friend has mobility issues so this was ideal - ground floor apartment with easy access and wet room. Twin beds and small kitchenette. A couple of minutes walk from town centre. Ample car parking.

Only the one apartment with twin beds so get in quickly. Shower operation took some working out but worked well when set.

Apartment wasn’t clean, bedding and towels poor, very old and worn, shabby, clock on wall not working and the property needs some money spending on it, no curtain tie back on one wall, net curtain falling down, generally not well kept, stairs in block always dirty! Shame as perfect location in a lovely market town! Have to return in November for a week but have booked elsewhere!

Perfectly peaceful and pleasing.

When we arrived, the concierge was welcoming and helpful. The decor was very nice. Each apartment had a different name, relating to local places and landmarks, but each door had a number 10 on it, which I found quite fun and amusing. Our apartment was clean and stylish. Everything we needed for an overnight stay was provided. Even down to robe and slippers. There was an iron, a safe, microwave, toiletries, etc. The curtains blacked out the room, but we had to cover the light from the cooker clock and switch off the microwave. We like a dark room. The bathroom was spacious and sanitary. There is no air conditioning, but there was an oscillating fan. We didn't use the gym, so I can not comment on that. The location is great. The area was very quiet, just opposite the Abbey. We slept with the window open and had no noise disturance at all. The apartments are literally 2 minutes walk from the main high street. Overall, we had a wonderful visit.

One slight problem was the creaking floorboards. We could quite easily hear the people above us moving about. The only other slight annoyance was that the duvet was too thick and heavy for a warm summer evening. We had to sleep half uncovered, even with the window open.

The first night's stay was very difficult! The room above were arguing all night eventually went quiet at 0440 we did complain to reception staff who said they would be checking out that day, which was good to know.

Great Location and Dog-Friendly Stay

We really liked the location, and it was a big plus that the accommodation was dog-friendly. Early check-in was appreciated, and the car park was conveniently located. The rooms were stylish, well-kept, and everything worked perfectly, which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

While the accommodation itself was nice, one downside was the noise from other guests. The doors to the other rooms banged loudly whenever people went in and out, which could be disruptive at times.

Building hallways and staff lovely beautiful outside building parking ok

On facilities not supplied what it said as in toothbrushes toothpaste towels too small. Silicone just smeared all over the shower area shower screen rubber dirty shower head scaled up dirt and dust u der bed . Cutlery in bottom of cupboard instead of drawer toilet roll nearly empty one on holder and q and half spare fan in bathroom didn't work iron has some melted stuff on plate .definitely not value for money

Think twice ????

The area of Wymondham is very pretty.

The place is falling apart. The toilet didn't flush, the bathroom sink is blocked, reported it but nothing was done. One useless fan, windows opened to allow blinds to bang all night, bulbs blown and not replaced, no handrail on the top floor which was dangerous, very unhappy staff indeed as they are constantly in the firing line with problems beyond their power and no help. Every thing is tatty and rattly , bits about to fall off everywhere, chandelier was absolutely filthy . Not a pleasant experience at all.
