We are totally quiet and secluded, located away from the hustle and bustle of Bondi Beach, yet we are just a gentle 10-15 minute walk away. And you have ample guaranteed free, unlimited street parking! (Remember that parking in the Bondi Beach area is very very difficult unless expressly offered, and it is also very very expensive).

TRANSPORT
Is fantastic - Bus 379 is 2 minutes from the Studio and it gets you to the city in about 25 minutes. There are other bus lines just 4 minutes away too! The Metro (train service) is 15 minutes away on bus 379.
NEW NEW. Thanks to the adventurousness of one of our guests, there is a gorgeous and easy and picturesque way to get to the city. Take bus 380 (4 minutes away) to Watsons Bay and then take the FERRY to Circular Quay in the city, taking in the sights of Sydney's east and the Harbour and the Bridge, and the Opera House, all from the sea.
And if you are coming by car, of course, there is ample parking right outside the Studio at all times of the day or night. Parking is very very difficult and expensive on Bondi Beach so bear that it mind when making your choice.
AMENITIES NEARBY
There is a laundry service, convenience store, pharmacy, medical facility, Vintage Cellars and several trendy wonderful cafes/eateries, all less than a 5 minute stroll away.
Bondi Beach, which is full of restaurants, supermarkets, bars etc is just an 8 minute stroll away. The choice of restaurants is staggering, with all cuisines catered for, from magnificent formal sit-down eateries, to take away specialities. Asian, Australian, French, Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern eateries abound just off the beach - choose your pick!
Our Studio - STRICTLY NON-SMOKING
Our Studio is small and contained, a single large room with a separate well-appointed bathroom. It has a small kitchenette including a separate area with microwave, kettle, toaster, hotplate, sandwich maker, juicer etc with cutlery and crockery. People have found it perfect as holiday accommodation especially since guests come to Sydney to get out a lot and eat out a lot. Small we might be, but we are exquisite, of the highest quality, in a modern and very upmarket area, with beautiful finishes and attention to detail. We are surrounded by very beautiful homes and plush greenery and when you come back home after touring, absolute quiet and tranquility awaits you, with modern and tasteful finishings to spoil you and a heavenly shower to enjoy. I take great pride in my engagement with hosting and I normally go out of my way to ensure that guests have all their reasonable needs met.

TRANSPORT FROM THE AIRPORT
We are about 25 minutes away from the airport by car and there is ample unlimited street parking in front of the Studio when you get here. Big plus - unlimited parking.
Public transport is very very quick and easy. You take the airport train to Central Station (about 25 minutes). Then another train (on platform 24) to Bondi Junction (about 12 minutes). Then take bus 379 From Bondi Junction Train Station to North Bondi and get off corner Hardy Street and Murriverie Road (15 minutes).
Walk one block up Hardy and first right into Clyde Street - about 300 metres up the road.
THERE IS A CLOSER BUS STOP, only 1 minute away from the Studio, but I'll explain where when you get here, for you to use in future.
Door to door from the airport by public transport is usually less than 1 hour.
Airport pickup is possible but needs arranging beforehand.
ACCESS TO YOUR HOLIDAY HOME
From the road to the house, you enter via the inclinator (lift) - your own private funicular car - or by stairs (which is what we usually use). You then have your private access to the Studio via your own private courtyard. Very occasionally, you may bump into guests from our other Studio who also share the courtyard but from our experience over 10 years, this happens very infrequently and unobtrusively.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
I'm known as a friendly and easy going person (I hope I am – I work as a psychotherapist), and I’m usually happily available for assistance or advice if needed. When guests have asked for anything, I have gone out of my way to accommodate them. I’m sometimes available for a coffee and a chat - with suggestions on where to go and what to do, but if guests want privacy, I totally stay away from any interaction.
I also offer a complimentary 45 minutes coaching session if you would like.

Nothing else to note really. Easy transport (bus 379, which is just 90 seconds away, which goes to the city), wonderful amenities just minutes away, and beach beach and sun and walks and excitement. And parking (yes, I'm stressing that).
OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
North Bondi is very trendy and we are about 3 minutes away from one of the newest and trendiest coffee shops and eatery around, Shuk, always full and alive and exciting. It is a very safe area from a personal safety and theft point of view. In 20 years, we have never had an incident and personally, we often go out and leave out house unlocked. BUT WE ARE OBLIGED TO ASK YOU TO TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS AND LOCK YOUR DOOR WHENEVER YOU DO GO OUT. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature.
North Bondi is different from Bondi Beach inasmuch as guests have a choice of a quiet stay, or whether they want to be part of the very lively and noisy Bondi Beach scene, just minutes away. So if you might want solitude and quiet, our place is for you. And if you want the excitement of Bondi Beach, it is about 8 minutes walk to the beach strip, where you will find restaurants, bars and entertainment galore.
For even more variety, take bus 379, seconds away, to Bondi Junction which is an important hub in the Eastern Suburbs, with numerous supermarkets, department stores, eateries, bars, entertainment, cinemas and so on.
From Bondi Junction Train Station, you can get to almost anywhere in the greater Sydney area via the Underground/Train service

We stayed at this VRBO near Bondi beach for 5 nights coming from an earlier cruise. Michael the owner, was very accommodating as we disembarked fairly early off the cruise ship....and he allowed us to drop off our large heavy luggage before noon, while the place was being cleaned. The VRBO was perfect for just the two of us, we did not rent a car and took Sydney's public transportation (buses, trains and ferries) nearly everywhere we went. Bus 379 into Bondi Junction was just a block away from the place.
The queen size bed, linens and pillows were comfortable, and I LOVED how nice the air conditioner worked as well. It cooled the room very quickly--very nice to sleep in a cool room--My only suggestion to this place would be to slightly elevate the bed from the floor a little more..it was very low to the ground. The shower, coffee maker, TV, fridge and other amenities were nice as well.
Michael was extremely responsive when we had questions. We were grateful for the large beach towels in the closet that we were able to use on our days to the beach.... we also borrowed the two rain umbrellas to use for shade, as there was little to no shaded areas on the beaches we visited....both Bondi and Manly beach-- Beautiful beaches! My husband I packed in a LOT in 5 days...we did a tour of the Sydney Opera House, scheduled a day trip to the Blue Mountains on a private tour and climbed the Sydney Bridge as well. This VRBO was a great place to stay for the price- Highly recommend!

Michael is a wonderful host who really cares that you are comfortable and settled in the "granny flat" under his house — a very special experience to get to connect with him, unlike some hosts on these short-term rental sites, Michael is a real pleasure to talk to.
I feel that this property is great if you are a visitor/tourist in Sydney, and are comfortable with not being in the 'hub' of everything Sydney has to offer, but rather, within walking/travel-able distance to everything you'd want — including Bondi Beach being about 20 minutes (closer to 18 mins) away, and Rose Bay being about a 25 min walk. When it's raining, this can be a bit of a nuisance. As a remote worker who is not a tourist, the location was a bit inconvenient for my needs, but this was a 5-star stay, with a 5-star host, in a 5-star property.
Make sure to take full advantage of the bus routes nearby, be prepared for a walk, and take note that this unit is 'behind' the house, meaning you have to walk up quite a lot of stairs to get to your unit — or use the inclinator.
One other thing to note is that the door to your room is glass, and there is another unit directly next to yours, with a shared patio outside your room — thus, if you want to ensure your neighbors don't walk outside and see through to your room, you'll need to keep the curtain closed, minimizing the natural light in your room. Something that made me personally feel a bit closed in, but not much that can be done to accommodate this.
Overall, this property is special, the host is wonderful, and certainly worth considering as the location for your vacation to Sydney/Bondi!
