Bohemian Old Town Boutique Apartment

The location was excellent, right in the Old Town and within easy walking distance of the metro station, bus stops, and major attractions. The apartment was fully equipped with a washing machine, gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, and a well-equipped kitchen. It was spacious and comfortable, with large windows offering a great view of the Old Town. The owner is very nice and helpful.

The door was a little difficult to open and close. There were many restaurants and bars outside, and the music was very loud at night, often continuing until around 3 a.m., which affected our sleep.

The apartment size and layout was excellent, although some strange design choices made it a little difficult for my wife (who is a lot shorter than me). The cupboards in the kitchen are up really high, and the kitchen bar is really high also. The inclusion of a washing machine was very welcomed after 4 weeks on the road. Our host was very communicative and super lovey.

There is a real lack of utensils in the kitchen, meaning that the inclusion of a kitchen is a little pointless. We inquired and were told that the kitchen is not really for cooking, which is fair enough. But when a tea towel is not provided because "guests in the past did not use it properly, used them for cleaning shoes and other things", using the kitchen at all becomes very difficult. We just used the bath towels for drying dishes. Also, while it didn't bother us too much; please make sure that you understand what the 'old town' in Bucharest is, it's not the usual charming European old town.

Great location and a gorgeous apartment - was perfect for what we needed and in a great location in the centre of old town!

The host! He was lovely and friendly to start and very helpful. After our stay he noticed some slight damage to a small statue that got knocked over, which we apologised and were more than happy to pay for! However, he then suddenly accused us of having more people in the apartment stay, including a child (we are not a couple), went through our trash and lied about what he found to try and “catch us out” and tried to scare us with CCTV, which obviously he found nothing because we never had any more than us 2. After I reassured him that it was only ever just us, he still continued to accuse us and be quite aggressive over whatsapp. We paid for the statue asap over booking.com and ceased contact as soon as we could. Was such a shame after such a nice stay. Just a warning for others! Other than him, it is fantastic accommodation.

the location of the house is great. very close to the ‘must seen’ places. house is like an oasis when you come in. it was clean, has everything you need. we had a short trip so did not use the kitchen utilities much. Dan explained everything detailed to us, we easily self-check in and out. We love the city, will come back soon.

The apartment is awful. total dissapointment. the smell of the apartment was terrible. the elevator is unreliable. i couldn’t dare to use it. In winter time when all the windows are closed, the sound of the street didn’t bother us. I think in summer time this could be a problem while you are sleeping.
