The cabin is in a good location and we enjoyed the fire pit. We did not want to be near a busy Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge to visit GSMNP so the location was good for us. We let the owner know the furnace filters needed changing...the inside cabin air was just a bit dusty for our allergies. You also need to bring some hangers if you need them as there were only three in the cabin. Also know that WiFi is weak if you need it. While we typically like to detach while away, we like to search restaurants and had less than 10 mbps. Communication with the owner was great.

Loved our stay. Must be careful driving the roads to get to the cabin. Thecabin was clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings.

The steps to fire pit and to upstairs are steep. May not be for small children and older adults. Secluded and quiet.

This cabin meets all the basic needs. If you are looking for something extra, this cabin is not going to fit the bill. If you have anyone sleeping in the loft area, be ready to hear EVERYTHING going on up there from the downstairs bedroom (so if you have small kids, this is great). One suggestion, bring your own pillows, the ones at the cabin are not great. All in all, it was fairly clean, the cabin is solid (it could use some appliance updates) and was some place to sleep between adventures.
