Santo Andre Terrace

The host was very friendly. She immedately responded to all our enquires before and after our arrival. The apartment was really cosy and well equipped. It was a really pieceful and quiet neighbourhood. We slept with the windows open and it was scilent at night.

The district it is in looked a bit run down at first sight, especially so that we arrived at night. But actually it really fits in the local vibe of Lisbon in general with its narrow allyways :-D And the area is really peaceful. And strolling the city for 4 days we realized that there are deserted houses in ruins everywhere. They stand next to brand new and beautifully renovated old houses. This is just how Lisbon is :-D

The apartment was clean, comfortable and very spacious . Close to some lovely restaurants. Special mention and thanks Laura who gave us a lovely warm welcome. She was so friendly and gave us lots of info for our stay.

Laura was a fabulous contact point, very responsive and helpful. The apartment is well set out with great facilities.

Leaving the apartment each day to go on tours, I felt uncomfortable at the bottom of the hill and in the square area, this is as a sole female traveller. Nothing to do with the apartment itself, just the area I had to walk through each day. I used ride share to get back to the apartment at night as a solution.

The apartment was situated in a run down street, that felt unsafe. We were greeted with instructions on the front door telling us to keep the main door of the property locked at all times, as someone had already tried to kick a door in - the lock to the front door was broken! We overlooked a derelict building, where at night a gentleman who appeared to have mental health issues would shout and rave from the roof, at one point we were convinced he was going to jump. The flat, although well equipped, was tired and needed updating
