You know youve hit pay dirt when you arrive at Angels Camp. Home to everything from the popular Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee to museums, rodeos, wineries and more, this is the heart of the Sierra Nevada gold rush country. And, as the residents here know, gold comes in many forms.

The area is rich for exploration. Kick up your heels in the Sierra Nevada foothills-covered in wildflowers or colorful leaves depending on the season-or pan for gold in the old mining towns. Hike, bike or ride a horse. You might also try spelunking in one of the caves near the resort. And, of course, a game of golf is never far away-the resort is located on the Greenhorn Creek Golf Courses tenth fairway! However you fill your days here, youll agree that its a vacation spot fit for angels.

A Gem in the Foothills!

What a lovely neighborhood! I had no idea this resort existed. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. It was also close to the tennis courts and the swimming pool/hot tub. We were also able to park right by the unit which was nice. The only negative was the check in-the guy who got angry that we did not wish to attend the sales presentation. We were very nice about it and he did not say anything inappropriate, he simply stormed off. Luckily my husband and I just laugh stuff like that off. Overall, everything else was great!

Loved the king bed and the pillows. The outside deck was a nice place to sit and the wood peckers we’re awesome to watch. The only thing I would recommend is to put out some bee traps? They were all over us in the morning and they actually forced us back into our room, but it wasn’t a problem in the evening while sitting outside. But, this was the *very best stay!!! Thank you so very much for keeping this priced right so we’re able to stay a few nights!! We loved it and we will be back! 👍💖👍🌿 Thank you 😊🌺

Enjoyed our stay
Enjoyed our stay
My wife and I really enjoyed our quick overnight stay. When we got back from the concert at Ironstone we were able to kick back and relax in the separate open kitchen/dining/living area. We did not have a chance to enjoy the pool, but it sounded like the family and kids were having a blast down there. Parking is very tight as we were not able to find a spot in front of our room when we first got there. Just a reminder that you will have to pay for wifi, but that doesn't matter to us because we have unlimited data with our Verizon mobile phones to create a "hotspot". We were able to get cellphone reception, but it is not great. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will go back if the price stays about the same at a little less than $100.
