Reventazon River Mountain Ranch

Wow, what a place. Yeah, the drive up the hill was scary--it was almost dark and with dense fog. In some sections, the road was quite steep. You will need a 4x4. Most of the road in this property is unpaved. During our stay, it was rainy and foggy. We could not even see the volcano. But we found peace. Very quiet. Mia and Ranzel are excellent hosts, almost like family members. And their dog is so friendly. The breakfast was delicious. We saw only a few birds. Suggestion: a feeder might bring in some more birds. There are sloths, but we did not see them. Both nights we cooked our meals. Mia gave us a dozen eggs from her small farm for our meals. The internet was moderately fast, and I could attend a Zoom meeting.

The rain and the fog ;-) The fog created a dream-like environment, which we enjoyed a lot.

Excellent breakfast. Stunning location. Super confortable bed. Beautiful view. Lovely people.

Amazing stay at the lodge. We were at the sunrise lodge and this one was more isolated from the main house which we loved. We saw so many birds in the morning and our stay was magical. The highlight of our Costa Rica trip. Also we hosts are super friendly and available if you have any questions.
