Heated floors are a godsend! Well-equipped kitchen, many seasonings/sauces provided from past guests, gives it a more communal feel, we were able to cook some great meals. The bathroom is really big for an apartment this size, lol. Also just at the end of the street where many bars are, so you can walk up and down the street in the evening for a nice vibe.
The bathroom is only accessible through a bedroom, so if you're staying upstairs in the loft, you have to open the bedroom door and possibly disturb other sleeping to use the bathroom. Not a fault of the hosts, but just by design of the room we stayed in.

Not polite driver block the entrance of park lot, so we have to clean new way out from snow.

Overall it was fine and in a good location.
There were roaches (i caught 2, one flew on me), the dishes in the cupboard weee unwashed — must have been a prior guest, and the upstairs futons were thin and on a hard ground. Japanese might be used to that? It was a bit uncomfortable to me, the mattress in the bunkbeds was better.

This place was cozy, and fit 4 people just fine. Pretty great spot as well. Close to a lot of the action in Hirafu. The rooms and the space itself were very functional and simple. The heated floors were awesome as well as the washing machine.
It didn’t exactly look like the pictures that the room being offered looked like. Booking .com should our reservation as having a couch. It did not. The property is almost at the very bottom of the hill which is a bit of a walk anytime you need to get somewhere. However there is a shuttle that comes close by that runs every 30 minutes.
