Over The Sea Apartments

Great accommodation with all the facilities you need ! Beautiful view over the harbour and Symi !! So peaceful with a small outside area . A brilliant welcome pack which was very much appreciated after a long journey . Towels provided and when requested beach towels also . Great communication from Symi holidays before , arrival and as required .

The property is actually the last property prior to the ferry terminal . This was not a problem for us as we loved the 10 minute walk into town . It was actually what we prefer but maybe a problem for some.

The place itself was perfect for my first solo travel in 7 years. It was big enough for me and had all that I needed - even have a washing machine that I loved, the AC worked perfectly, in faces direct on the sunset so you can sit outside and have prime viewing and if you are coming on the big ferry, it is probably 400 meters from the drop off of that ferry.

When I got there after taking a ferry and lugging my luggage around the port to the place, there was no one there to greet me even though I had said exactly what time my ferry was coming in. I had to use my international phone plan to call the host who didn't seem that fussed about not being there and when I asked a simple question of was it safe to walk from town back to the house (it is the VERY LAST villa at the end of the port road), she scoffed at me which was rather unnecessary. Also and this is not something that can be helped but it is a main furrow fare for the Big ferry so twice a day people will be coming and going outside your door and cars will drive past a lot but that is not something that can be helped so does not factor into my score.

Only 3 apartments managed by a local handling company with communication difficulties. Nice house poorly and cheaply restructured. From the bedroom to the toilet you need to go down steep steps, go across a small courtyard in a different building and climb steps.
