Last-Minute Cancellation on New Year’s Eve

Even though we had regular communication with the host via Booking messages and WhatsApp, on the day of arrival — after check-in had already started — the host canceled our stay, claiming that the reservation was a mistake and that they were not open for New Year’s. To make matters worse, this happened on December 31st at 6:00 PM, while we were already only an hour away from this middle-of-nowhere location.

Great view, good location to walk to beach and village. Host walked us through the apartment and talked us through everything and was friendly offering advice etc.

The apartment owners live on site and we found the noise and activity a little distracting. This put us off using the pool. Facilities have seen better days. Other guests also pretty noisy, with a party one evening. Perhaps not the place to have a peaceful stay and enjoy the view.

Magnifique !!

Very spacious and pleasant apartment, perfect for a peaceful stay. A few small updates would be welcome, but they don’t take away from the charm of the place. The view is absolutely incredible, with a balcony perfect for dining while watching the sunset. The pool with sea view is a real highlight. We were warmly welcomed by Jure, who was very available and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Access to the apartment is via narrow and winding roads, which can be a bit tricky, especially at night. Also, the upstairs neighbors were occasionally a bit noisy during our stay.

Amazing view over towards Hvar and the Makarska coast; lovely pool; spacious apartment. We enjoyed swimming and eating in some good local restaurants , especially Marco Polo.

Had to contact host over some issues eg more toilet paper, more kitchen utensils ( we cooked for ourselves 3 nights out of our 7 night stay), more towels and a rubbish bag. Host was very responsive. It was not a problem for us but you definitely need a car as it’s a 15 minute walk into the village down a steep hill and half an hour to Old Korcula Town.

Nice view but maintenance is lacking

The view is really nice, spacious apartment and friendly staff.

On arrival, the outside of the building is unkept. Maintenance required in some areas like the shower head leaking, a leak in front of our entrance stemming from the unit above’s A/C. It created a small pool of water that caused us to have wet & dirty footsteps that eventually found its way onto our tiled floor. Limited kitchen utensils and no space for drying dishes, a challenge when trying to cook. Chairs on balcony were not in a good condition.

A hidden gem that will give you memories that last forever.

This is one of those hidden gems that you can not help but enjoy. The close beaches of Vaja and Samograd are postcard perfect and when you are done there, retire to the pool at the complex. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was very comfortable for a one week stay. We cooked, we relaxed and we enjoyed our stay. The facilities seem to need constant care but the hosts and very responsive and you can’t ask for more. Love it and hope to be back one day.

There were some minor issues with the washing machine and pool, but nothing that will spoil your trip and the hosts/owners more than made up for it.

There is nothing like perfect place. Every single one has it's pros and cons. Nevertheless Apartments Magdalena is one of the places you want to come back and feel and touch again and again, regardless of the distance to travel. I fell in love with the apartment's space, the morning sea view, the dark, really dark night sky with thousands of stars and Milky Way not messed up with lights from houses, lanterns on cars. I fell in love with large, I mean really large pool with clean water and breath taking edge view and comfortable sunbeds. I fell in love with the apartment privacy, hosts, not too short, not too long distance from noisy village center, well equipped shops and all the wildlife I observed around. And one more advantage: Korcula's shore wildlife does not cover ....... mosquitos - I have not seen even one during the stay, few bites I got I could have brought from previous apartment :-).

A little Paradise on earth

Very kind and helpfull host. An excellent view from the balconny and swimmingpool . The appartement was large and super clean. We loved the little, sleepy town Racisce with two simple but nice restaurants.

It was a little bit difficult to find out where the location of the appartments was.

High view from balcony is incredible! Infinity swiming pool with no edge is great for fun and for great view over the area. Lovely and uncrowded Vaja beach which is 10 minutes walk from the apartments. I recommend staying in Magdalena apartments.

The host could be more polite..., poor Wifi quality - in my apartment no. 4 almost didn't work.

Stunning view from the terrace on the sea side! Air conditioning works pretty well. Room was clean and spacious. Communications before our arrival was clear.

Wifi signal is not strong enough. Kitchen a little small for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Las vistas de la habitación, la piscina, la tranquilidad del sitio. Estás apartado pero a 15 min del pueblo andando. El apartamento es espacioso y nuevo. Para una pareja es genial. La playa también está a 15 minutos andando.

Es un sitio con muchísimas posibilidades, pero no está cuidado. Tiene un apartamento elevado sin protección alguna y que parece una obra, puede ser muy peligroso para los niños. Es una habitación que tiene una cama doble bastante incómoda y luego un sofá cama muy duro, no una segunda cama. El check in fue un poco desastroso, yo hablaba con alguien por booking que no estaba comunicado con los propietarios, me mandó un mensaje en el que podría hacer la entrada a partir de la una, pero que bajo solicitud previa podríamos entrar antes. Eso hice y me comentó que podríamos ir a dejar las maletas, cuando llegamos allí los propietarios no sabían nada de esto y nos dijeron que la entrada era a partir de las tres, al enseñarle el mensaje nos dejaron meter el equipaje en la habitación, pero fue una situación incómoda. La piscina es maravillosa, pero también necesita cariño.

Lägenheten var ostädad och sliten, möbler såg ut att vara hämtade från en återvinningsstation. Duschen på rummet var dålig, knappt att det kom vatten. Duschen vid bassängen fungerade inte. Bassängen var smutsig med gröna alger som växte på väggar och botten. Utemiljön var som en byggplats och ostädat.

Die Wohnung war nicht gefegt und nicht vollständig sauber. Im Bad war der Duschkopf verkalkt, die Halterung war nicht funktionsfähig,Seifenspender kaputt und somit nutzlos. Der Fön war alt und dreckig. Der Pool wurde ohne Ankündigung Mittags gereinigt. Katzendreck lag auf dem Boden der Veranda. Die Wohnung war einfach, das Bett war bequem und Wohnung ohne Details eingerichtet. Es gab einen Willkommensschnaps und Muscheln als Geschenk. Auch wenn nicht alles zufriedenstellend war, hatten wir zwei schöne erholsame Tage in der Wohnung.
