Rum Stars Camp

We had an amazing stay at Rum Stars Camp. The camp is tucked away in a stunning spot deep in the Wadi Rum protected desert, with incredible views of mountains and dunes all around. The host arranged a full-day desert trip for us across Wadi Rum, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit. We explored beautiful landscapes. The lunch our guide cooked for us right there in the middle of nowhere – simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious made the whole experience feel personal and special. We were actually the only guests at the camp because of the current situation in the region, which made everything feel very quiet and private. At the same time, it was a bit of a pity, because such an incredible place really deserves more people and a bit more life and energy. The staff were very professional and took good care of everything. There was plenty of food throughout our stay, and dinner at the camp was especially good, with authentic Bedouin-style dishes. Our tent was clean, comfortable, and very well-equipped with a private bathroom and a terrace looking out over the dramatic desert scenery. Overall, a highly recommended place if you’re visiting Wadi Rum and want more than just accommodation – it’s a full desert experience with unforgettable landscapes and genuine hospitality.

The only small improvement point would be to reduce artificial lighting in the evening. It would make the night sky even more spectacular, allowing guests to fully enjoy the incredible stars over the desert.

I highly recommend this camp without hesitation. From the moment you arrive, you immediately feel at home. The value for money is truly exceptional. The camp's location is simply breathtaking and probably one of a kind. Our Jeep tour will remain an unforgettable memory.

Such a wonderful place to stay. Staff superb and experience so memorable, never been anywhere like Wadi Rum! An unforgettable location- feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but attentively looked after by the family at Rum Stars Camp. Secure parking a bonus and great tour, although next time I would probably go just for the sunset and tea rather than the more 'touristy' parts of the tour. Chilling on the private deck looking at the stars very, very special.....fingers crossed for clear skies!

The executive suite was fantastic. Very spacious and clean, super comfortable bed. It was very cold in January but the heating worked well and the room was nice and warm. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Great views across the desert and food was good.

Poor service from office staff upon arrival, not particularly friendly or welcoming, immediately causing a strange atmosphere. The jeep tour we had booked started 45 minutes late the next morning and the "guide"/driver was very lackluster. Our overall experience with the camp was so so.
