Comfortable room and lovely views

Comfortable and clean accommodation. Beautiful Mountain View from our room and balcony. Well situated for our walking tour.

We booked the half board which was expensive. We were disappointed with the evening meal and the breakfast wasn’t great. Although used to refuge style set menus, there was a lack of personalisation here that should have been better given the price.

Superb place to stay when you’re in the La Grave area. The owner was really kind and service minded.

The breakfast was good, however, coming from the Nordics I would appreciate a bit more versatile breakfast.

Exceptional.

RestAuberge La Reine Meije exceeded expectations, Frederick the host was very welcoming and introduced us to all the staff. The place felt family run, the rooms were exceptionally clean and their fantastic chef prepared quality food. The view from the bar, selection of beers and the bar area in general was superb and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning next time I visit La Grave.

Warm stay in a wonderful mountain spot

Absolutely wonderful stay; the location is amazing with a huge terrace with stunning view on the Meije. Fred the owner is extremely friendly and helpful (he transported us from and back to the bus stop, gave us great tips on nearby hike...), and his Belgian roots transpired on the quality of the food and the beer!

Comfortable stay with a stunning location, good food, and friendly staff

Overall, this was a really nice stay: friendly & helpful staff, beautiful location with stunning scenery, comfortable room, great dinner, and good breakfast. Food highlights include the selection of Belgian beers, the choice of starters, and the excellent desserts, but it was all good.

The property seems to still be figuring out some details of what will work best for them, so some aspects of the stay were different from when we booked (in part because we booked several months in advance). This led to a bit of confusion around check-in and billing, but it all got sorted out. Overall, I think this is still mostly a positive - they're clearly working to fine tune the details.

Nice stay overnight when exploring French Alps by car or bike, 30 min drive to Les Deux Alps.

The property is located on a high terrace above La Grave, with a magnificent view to glaciers and La Meije mountain across the valley. The room on the second floor had a large terrace. The host was very friendly and spoke English well. Free parking was available on the street 50 m away.

It was not trivial to find the location of this RestAuberge in the village, there are no house numbers.

Tres bon restaurant et bel accueil de Clara et Pierre. Merci à Coline pour nous avoir proposé un cocktail de sa création. Le coin lounge est très agréable après une journée de ride à la grave.

Chambre vétuste malgré la rénovation des sdb. Des portes pour séparer les sanitaires de la chambre ne serait pas un luxe. Le canapé Ikea dans la chambre n'est pas agréable et le drap housse 1 personne n'est pas adapté.

Du potentiel mais qui déçoit

Magnifique vue sur la Meije et les Ecrins, hôtes plutôt sympathiques qui semble faire de leur mieux pour tenir l'auberge. La salle de restaurant est très belle, dommage qu'elle ne reflète pas le reste de l'auberge. Literie confortable.

Notre chambre (la 2) est très minimaliste avec deux lits simple non collés, une chaise, un petit meuble de rangement et un lavabo. Aucune décoration et surtout très peu d'isolation phonique. Présence de moquette au sol qui semble garder les odeurs notamment dans les couloirs... Le restaurant est bon mais très peu de produits locaux malgré une région plutôt riche sur ce point. On nous a oublié pour le soir du réveillon du jour de l'an malgré une réservation faite 15 jours avant. Ils nous ont malgré cela trouvé une solution mais le service était très désorganisé toute la soirée. Globalement, lorsqu'il y a du monde, l'organisation laisse à désirer. Petit déjeuner très basique. L'endroit a beaucoup de potentiel mais qui n'est pour le moment loin d'être exploité à son maximum. Nous n'avons pas à ce jour bien compris si c'était un hôtel, une refuge ou une auberge de jeunesse ...

Jolie chambre sur la vue sublime de la montagne

Super vue. Bon resraurant.

Pas très pratique quand on est chargé: pas de parking juste à côté et beaucoup d'escaliers étroits. Je me suis cognée très fort l'orteil dans le canapé mal placé dans la chambre (juste à côté de la porte d'entrée)

Les prix des consommations ne sont pas affichés (boissons et plats pour le repas). Le prix du petit déjeuner n'est pas celui annoncé sur Booking. Globalement le restaurant et le petit déjeuner sont chers. La chambre est petite pour trois personnes.

L'auberge est idéale pour des randonneurs (ce qui était notre cas). Le repas du soir était excellent, très bonne et belle étape.

C'est une auberge de montagne dans son jus, il faut l'apprécier telle quelle.

Dusche, WC, Sanitärinst. und sonstige Einrlchtung z.B Wandanstrich nicht professionell, Silikonfugen laienhaft und improvisiert, Schimmelecken im Zimmer notdürftig überstrichen, Schimmel auch neben Fensterrahmen im Speiseraum Esssen teilweise schmackhaft, wegen der vielen Kurzgäste aber kaum Abwechslung. Frühstück sehr rudimentär für eine Berg-/Wanderunterkunft Preis- Leistung nicht in adäquatem Verhältns
