Centrale ligging in het bijzondere stadje Clifden, hart van Connemara. Omringd door grandioos landschap.
Stadje is streekcentrum, dus faciliteiten als winkels en prima restaurants direct naast de deur.
Uitgangspunt voor talloze wandel en autotochten van grote diversiteit.
Appartement is een heel woonhuis met vier twee persoons kamers en drie badkamers. Alles netjes en redelijk up to date.
Uitzicht niet grandioos, voornamelijk op omliggende gebouwen.
Geen tuin. Klein dakterras.
Eigenlijk was het geheel prima voor ons doel: vijf dagen wandelen met een viertal vrienden.
Dus voornamelijk actief buitenshuis. Zodoende een comfortabel verblijf.

No hooks or places to put toiletries.
Maybe a sideboard or console would be useful in the bedrooms, as we had to put things on the floor.
In the hall somewhere to hang jackets up etc and hooks on the backs of doors.

Location was perfect, in a small, quiet housing estate, but a two-minute walk from the main street where all the restaurants, bars and shops are. Clifden is also a great base for exploring Connemara, the main sights are all within about a 30-minute drive.
The layout, it is a three-storey house with three of the bedrooms in the basement, and master bedroom on the top floor - not ideal when you have children. Lack of WiFi in the house is an issue when the mobile signal isn't great in the area. No coverage at all in the basement. The house was very clean but basic enough, no handsoap, hairdryer, toiletries etc provided. The kitchen is well equipped and some milk, sugar, tea and instant coffee was provided. The pillows were terrible, so thin, they were quite uncomfortable. Finally, there is quite an archaic system where you have to pay in cash for your electricity when you're leaving, after the caretaker reads the meter. Have never come across this before. Overall, for the price we paid I would have liked better facilities and to not have to pay extra for the electricity.
