The Laurels B&B

Everything from beginning to end. The ease of communication and having questions answered. The absolutely wonderful decor of the entire place, both the elegant antique interior and the well-looked-after gardens in the exterior, David and Lindy's exceptional hospitality, the absolutely delicious breakfast, the wonderful 5-o'clock wine and cheese, and the large assortment of books! We absolutely loved the bath in the Fitzroy Room as well. Also, the verandah on which we could sit and relax in the afternoon and breathe the fresh, country air. We loved the overall quiet location as well and the absolutely spectacular views of the rural area from the property. Also, we brought our own food for dinner and David and Lindy heated this up for us and served it beautifully on an ornate tray. And we had gone there for our anniversary and hence we were offered a bottle of champagne on entering our room.

There's wasn't anything that I could say I didn't like. But just for anyone who stays there, you'll need a car to get to the closest restaurant if you want to eat out at night, which means one person will have to be the designated driver and avoid alcohol in order to drive back to the guesthouse.

This property is exquisite. We were greeted by our host and were struck with the ornate decorations of antiques in the house and the room. The bed was large and comfy, the stand alone bath was luxury and the little touches like complemetary bubbles, and cold fresh milk and water and tea and coffee in little glass antique style glassware. The room had its own balcony. The house itself had different rooms, they even have wine and cheese at 5:30pm and of course the breakfast at a large antique table was served to order by our lovely hosts. There were fresh oats and yoghurt, cereals and a hot breakfast made to order. The general areas of the house have so many trinkits and collectables which all spark interest and intrigue. The location is close to kangaroo valley and perfect for wedding accomodation or for the folk festival. It was reasonably priced.

I can't fault anything.

The Laurels B & B was located in the spectacularly beautiful Kangaroo Valley. Our kind hosts David and Lindy greeted us warmly and we sat and chatted with the other guests over a cheese platter and a glass of wine in the glorious sitting room adorned with historic pieces. The following morning we were given a filling hot breakfast before we hit the road. A great stay!

Not much .the hostess and host were very friendly .

Unfortunately it was shabby and very stuffy. The Linen , pillows etc were very smelly , a damp mouldy type smell , and the smell from the drains in the bathroom was dreadful .
