La struttura molto bella, le persone fantastiche la colazione di più, farlo lì nel giardino è qualcosa di stupendo.

Posto molto bello e particolare, su una piccola collina di fronte al faro. Struttura moderna, pulita e tranquilla, con vista mozzafiato dal giardino delle colazioni. Parcheggio proprio davanti alla struttura, ampio spazio ricreativo e un orto curato. Si ha l’impressione di essere immersi nella natura, ma in pochi minuti di auto si raggiungono le spiagge locali. Ottimi piatti con prodotti locali alla locanda che fa parte della stessa struttura.

Colazione quasi solo dolce, avrei gradito anche opzioni salate.

The location is stunning. You’re able to appreciate it during breakfast and the use of the grounds; the terrace, garden, ground floor saloon. Rena the waiter who picked us up from the train station has natural host energy and the only person who realised to offer us the bikes that were available for guests while we were eating at the restaurant. Mirasol and Patricia the women attending breakfast and cleaning are also very helpful when asked. We do have A2/B1 Italian and from Reading the reviews I feel Italian is needed for you to have confidence in your stay here and to have the best experience. Everyone still treated us weirdly when we can understand and communicate, overhearing another table you can get eggs etc you just need to ask for things at breakfast which if you can’t speak basic Italian may be difficult. Also if you’re shy and don’t want to be forthright and demand things, maybe tricky.

I think the main issues for us was hosting and it’s lack of attention to detail. We both have experience in hospitality back in Scotland. We have lived in Italy for 4 years in total now; Matera, in a remote countryside town in Sicily where my partner did harvests and now we live in a mountain town where my partner works for a Michelin plated restaurant, also a locanda. Not to say we’re experts from 4 in a bed, but we have Italian and can tell when there is something not quite right. Overall reading the other reviews. Make the room where we stayed above the kitchen (morning noise) and without a balcony, only box shower a cheaper price and state that it’s a different room so guests aren’t expecting the front rooms of the villa with the sea view. We were allowed into the room prior to check-in because of our train arrival time. However I feel there needs to be better communication between the host and staff, it felt a bit disorganised and it wasn’t until after we came back from exploring the town I realised who the person I had been messaging on booking was. This was a continued theme of our stay. If you’re happy to be left to your own devices, you know the area (or happy to make mistakes and explore) and you have a car you’ll have a fab time. I feel the b & b is just not ready and there isn’t a clear sense of what it is or how it should be run to give guests a full experience of staying at a restaurant that prides itself on 0km food, Calabrian drinks etc … almost what it wants to be is a boutique agriturismo, but it has a long way to go. You can tell they don’t read their reviews. One review talks about there not being a shelf in the shower, a simple clip on would resolve this issue. Guests don’t like to bend down while they’re showering or reach out to the sink. I fashioned one from the bin bag for somewhere to hang the soap off the shower.
