About this cottage rental
The Valley has many archaeological and monumental sites. There are remains of the Paleolithic in caves next to Cozvíjar and several Neolithic sites in the Padul Depression.
Due to its location the valley enjoys a central position among the great leisure spaces of the province, an issue that the visitor takes advantage of for extra-regional excursions, such as: The western Alpujarra, with its landscape, urban, gastronomic, ethnological legacy and its sports and spa possibilities.
The gastronomic heritage is an excellent sample of southern Mediterranean cuisine. The dishes stand out: orange soak, fennel stew, bread or flour crumbs, gazpacho, fries with eggs and fried peppers or longaniza, local slaughter products choto with garlic, meat with tomato, snails, beans with ham .

We stayed a couple of nights in the smaller cottage, with one bedroom which has a double and a single in it. There is also a sofa bed, which my son preferred rather than sharing with us. The cottage was simply equipped with everything we needed, including a good supply of firewood which was great at this time of year. It also has an air con heater/cooler if required. Antonia placed a lovely welcome gift of a huge basket of oranges and lemons in the cottage for us! Access was quite tight, there’s a cottage below that uses the narrow access so we just unloaded and then parked on the main road, which wasn’t a problem. It was peaceful and surrounded with trees and the sound of flowing water. If we’d stayed longer we’d have enjoyed the outdoor dining space with barbecue too, it must be lovely in summer. The only drawback was with the listing, I thought I was booking the two bedroom cottage, Antonia, informed me straight away that it was already booked but there was no way of having the fee reduced accordingly as it is already set, lumped in with the larger cottage. It would make sense to have two different rates for the different types of accommodation. However we decided to go ahead with the booking, and enjoyed our stay, Antonia was a friendly host, it was a perfect base for exploring the area and it’s only a short hop to Granada or the coast too.

La casa estaba perfecta, tiene chimenea y nos la han dejado acondicionada para encenderla, es muy acogedora y perfecta para pasar varios días. Lo único que recomendaría es cambiar los radiadores por unos más grandes o con más potencia que calienten más los cuartos, por lo demás perfecto.

Es un sitio para perderse, con mucho encanto y hace que quieras volver. La casa es muy bonita y acogedora, tiene todas las comodidades necesarias. Los niños se lo pasan muy bien, hay mucho campo. Los dueños son muy bellas personas, recomiendo que vengais a conocer su casa y a ellos.

Buenas. Esther y su familia muy agradables. Era la primera vez que veníamos y fue muy bueno. Sin duda repetiremos nos ha gustado mucho.
