We have visited the Edge of the Bay often over the years. We love it because it is located close to one of Tasmania’s greatest beauty spots and the Freycinet National Park. The studios are well appointed, spotlessly clean and have marvellous views across the Great Oyster Bay to the final length of the Freycinet peninsula which is graced by a ridge of granite landforms known as The Hazards. Watching the changing colours picked out by the sun from dawn to dusk across the Hazards’ rocky faces is an enduring joy that keeps drawing draws us back. The restaurant is excellent and showcases Tasmanian foods and wine. The grounds are full of mature native trees and shrubs that attract native wildlife - wallabies abound.
A slight problem with wi-fi signal strength, but not unusual in this area.

The view from the room was great and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The cabin was rustic (1960"s?) and a bit dated and tired. Definitely not worth $600 a night!
