Monte Soalheiro

Breakfast was great, staff were very helpful and friendly and the facilities were amazing :)

Only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the parking spot in front of our room door where cars sometimes would park very close to it, blocking the door.

The Boutique Hotel Monte Soalheiro made our stay truly memorable. The view is simply breathtaking, especially at sunrise, when the first light slowly spreads across the landscape. Worth setting an early alarm for. The rooms offer everything you could ask for: wonderfully comfortable beds and generously sized bath towels — no corners cut here. Breakfast is put together with real care, with daily changing specials that made every morning a little surprise. On warm days, the pool is the perfect way to cool off. The service impressed us just as much. When we needed a transfer into town, the team organised it quickly and with a smile. One practical tip: a rental car is a must. Be sure to follow the signposted route — Google Maps sends you on an unnecessary detour. We also heard that a new complex with a restaurant is being created on the neighbouring property. We’re genuinely curious to see it and already looking forward to trying it on our next visit.

Amazing view, property is amazingly remote, pool is at the door of the room, breakfast is good and fresh, staff is helpful and very nice, speaks portuguese and english (I haven't ask for other language, but I won't be surprised to hear they speak more than 2 languages). I don't think I've ever seen more stars at night, this was incredible!

Access can be a bit tricky on the dirt track, but you can't ask to be remote with a highway access

This was the most peaceful place imaginable and just lovely. The breakfast with homemade pastries, fresh squeezed orange juice and eggs was wonderful.

It is quite a distance from any town. So if you have a car, it is well worth it but if you are biking or walking the Fishermans Trail you will need to Uber/taxi in. The road would not be safe to walk on. The pool was wonderful. After check in. Staff left and there was no access to drinking water, a refrigerator, tea or anything. We did not know drinking the water from the faucet was not a good idea until the next morning. Also the air conditioning did not work. So it was a hot dehydrated night. It would be great if they just put a kettle and fresh water in the rooms before they left.
