Ancarraig Lodges

It was very cozy, the communication with the lodge team it was clear. We have a lovely time and the fireplace was just perfect for a cold night. Just what we were looking for

Cosy modern and hot water Beds very cosy and loved the modern touches including the light fittings and coffee machine

Fire heated the place well. Kitchen functional. Balcony great and safe for pups of all sizes. Wood effects made it look rustic and cosy. Quiet. Peaceful and nice area. Set up of the cabins was great, no overcrowding and squashing loads together. Showed integrity because this area is obviously popular for walkers. Could be used comfortably all year round.

Shower riser rail set too high. You would need to be around 5ft 7 to keep your hair dry. The slider bracket did not prevent the shower head from flopping down. The pressure was poor ( which i understand why) so this forced you to stand close to the wall to shower. Temp of shower could probably be set a little higher i was cold. So not a refreshing experience. Not much room for washbags on or under sink. Did not want to put wet toothbrushes on the wood surround as we did not want to stain the wood (unvarnished). Could only find one chopping board so cross contamination could be a problem. Small knives blunt. ( to cut salad stuff). Internet did not work either evening for tv. Used my mobile data instead. Could probably do with a little more light for parking. The visitors are not recycling properly. All the bins were stinking and mixed up and open. (A draw for rodents). Needs clearer signage and the bins to be laid out better and this would probably resolve the issue.

Lovely log burner. Great little kitchen. The oven was broken when we first tried to use it but staff were very quick to replace it and sort it out. Electric heater was down so had to reply on log burner and a little plug in electric heater we were given, so it was cold occasionally. Bathroom was constantly cold, some heating needed in there.
