An excellent little cabin in the woods, perfect for an escape.

An excellent little cabin in the woods, perfect for an escape. Fairly remote, so you can truly relax and unwind. I stayed here alone and enjoyed the solitude for a few days. Excellent hosts, even helping me get unstuck from the heavy snow and ice, which I am so grateful for. There is little signal and wifi only for checking emails etc, which was ideal for me at the time, needing to disconnect for a while. I tried my best to get out and enjoy the amazing scenery despite not great weather. I can imagine the views on a clear days would be breathtaking. Would definitely stay again!

Total switch off for five days, lots of amazing walks nearby!

Amazing cozy cabin to totally switch off from the world for an amazing five days, Isla (dog) loved it and was well made up with her welcome pack!

Monster hunt stay

Comfy bed, fire laid, heating and lights on when we arrived.Welcoming.

Thought it was closer to the loch from the pictures. Check in was 4 pm which at this time of year was dark, so maybe allow earlier check in. Probably better for a summer several days stay than a winter overnight.

Not so good

Place was cozy and relaxing

The place was not cleaned when we reached and it was only done after our request on the second day. On first day bed was not ready, no toiletries were provided. No clean towels and no toilet papers were kept. Bed was clean but all the stuff was used. Bin was not cleaned and there was empty wine bottles was left by previous occupiers which was not removed. On second day when asked for cleaning the staff taken our groceries, which was not recovered even after complaining. It was very unexpected experience and I would not recommend it to anyone.

It was very windy on our first night and the lodge makes a lot of noises and even moves in the wind! The shower cut out even though we were very careful to be quick and time showers as per instructions.

Storm Amy ruined the whole stay.

The site was breathtaking The lodge was everything we could have asked for.

Storm Amy. We lost power within 3 hours of arrival, which meant no heating, no cooking facilities, and no lighting. We had to drive 15 miles to Inverness to get camping lighting and power banks. We ended up spending an extraordinary amount of extra money to get a little bit comfortable. There was nobody available to speak to or get any help as all services were off. We ended up cutting our stay short as we could not continue living in that way

Disappointed stay 😒

Beautiful elevated location

The premium lodges we paid extra for definitely weren't worth the money. The fridge door was broken so we had to store the milk in the sink. The tv didnt work and the WiFi kept going off. The lino in the bathroom was coming away from the floor, it was all rippled, there was mould/damp on the ceiling and the shower was rubbish. The attention to detail was definitely questionable 🤔. I did email the lodges regarding my feedback and stay. I did get 1 response but haven't heard anything since 😕. Such a shame as it was for a birthday treat and it wasn't cheap, we ended up leaving a night early 😫

Overall a really good location if you want to be out in the forest and cosy, great escape getaway.

Cosy in the country and very quiet. Very warm with log burner in full flow. Very spacious and plenty of kitchen ware. Good supply of logs.

A little dirty under the beds and in corners, probably could do with a really deep clean. Abit older and dated then appearance on the photos, but still nice. The mattress in the double bedroom was very soft and bed sagged towards the middle. Use to a nice firm bed so found quite uncomfortable.

Perfect retreat!

Lovely cosy little cabin in the woods! Our cabin was recently modernised (worth noting our parents next door didn’t have theirs upgraded to same standard fyi) and suited us perfectly as a family of 4 (2 adults and 4 yo/ 8 month). The perfect cosy relaxing spot after my husband ran the lock ness marathon! We ate one night in Fiddlers in Drumnadrochit which was exceptional. Worth noting you need to drive to the town, the lodge is at the top of what feels like a mountain and 10 min drive into the village. We left my daughter’s toy by mistake upon checkout and the staff kindly posted this back to us, thank you!

Nothing however our parents cabin which was the same price next door (we were lodge 7 they were 8) wasn’t as nice as ours.

Very very lovely location and amenities

Fabulous location, peaceful quiet, setting was clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and clean, kitchen small but clean with oven microwave and fridge.

Shower over bath is difficult for older visitors and Door squeaks. Bathroom is a bit tired. The steps up to the deck are too shallow.

Beautiful accommodation above Loch Ness

The property was a little climb off the main road from Drumnadrochit so you had a raised view of Loch Ness and the surrounding countryside, which was just stunning. The property was superb. Everything you needed and the hosts met us with kindling and firelighters and extra coffee pods. Just a magical little hideaway from the busy lives we lead, cannot recommend highly enough.

Cozy cottage in the middle of nowhere

The cottage was small, but there was everything we needed, even wood for the fireplace.

The area is quite far away from the main street and literally in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, we went there only for the night and didn't have to make it more than twice per day.

Surrounded by nature

Very clean! The place is very secluded and surrounded by nature. Comfortable stay.

The shower is a challenge because it only lasts 10-20 minutes and if there are 4 people you have to take a very quick one or wait for the little tank to refill. I believe there was supposed to be a little shop for necessities but it was closed for the 2 days we were there. A little place to buy shower gel, water and the likes would be helpful.

Nice location , easy access with key in safe. Well equipped. Overall good vlakje for money.

One bedroom had many miggies on the wall what made it look dirty. We were with 4 people and the shower was cold by the 3rd and 4th person taking a morning shower.

Beautiful, relaxing, clean, amazing experience and perfect place to stay!!

Incredible! The lodges are just beautiful! They are located up a back road. The trip to the lodge is scary at first. Its a long winding road with really only one lane. So you must be really careful. But after the first trip you realize it is not as far or as scary as you first think. It is a beautiful location, set among the trees with flowers and nature. The location is not actually far from anything. The lodges are just so pretty inside and very clean. We had a lovely time making a fire in our cabin and relaxing. Slept really well due to the peace and quiet all around us. The rooms had heat in addition to the fireplace and even in July we used this feature! We never met the hosts but had no need to either. Overall we all enjoyed the lodge very much and would be excited to stay here again!

The only think I can think of is that the bathroom sink had separate taps for hot and cold water. This is totally a first world problem and in reality, not a problem at all. You can always use the kitchen sink. And the good news - the hot water is nice and hot, and the cold is perfectly cold!! So, this is just me complaining about absolutely nothing! I loved the lodges!

Fantastic

Booked the lodges for a family holiday, and can definitely say, we had a great time. Location is fantastic, atop the hill, with pristine view, peace. The lodges are well equipped, with kitchen. Towels and toiletries provided. Bedding was excellent as the room sizes. Fireplace and free firewood, kindling wood is an excellent thing to have. Thank you so much Rose and James.
