A lovely place in beautiful surroundings with Pilar being a lovely host. We felt very comfortable and welcome and could manage with basic communication in spite of the language barrier. The swimming pool was great to cool off with the weather being quite hot. Great opportunities for hiking and city/village visits nearby. Many natural swimming pools you can go to. Recommend an early breakfast on the terrace, bird sounds all over the place, some very special ones. All that was left to be desired is for us to learn spanish.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. It was way above expectations.
We had a great welcome from the host who made the start to our visit and indeed our whole stay very comfortable.
We will miss sitting outside in the evening watching the birds roost and bats come out to feed.
There are many things to discover in the immediate area and we feel that more visits will be required to see a little further afield.
An excellent property to base oneself, highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cute cottage in La Calzada de Bejar. Check-in went well and the place has everything you'll need to be comfortable for a few days.

Tuvimos la mala suerte del mal tiempo, pero aún así, la casa está situada en un enclave privilegiado, Pilar ha sido muy atenta y la casa y el jardín está muy cuidada, como en las fotos. Fuimos un finde completo, aconsejamos están Ia más larga, la zona necesita más días para conocerla.... En resumen, genial!!!!
