La Gorgone Ortigia Apartments

The apartment is located in a quaint street 30 seconds' walk from the seafront - and probably the best swimming spot on the island. There's a great fish restaurant about a minute away and excellent street food in a nearby piazza. It was a quiet building and the host Roberta was very responsive to our questions. There's a washing machine in the laundry room.

They had items for the beach that we could follow + the property is by the beach and is in the quieter side of Ortigia. Loved it!

That we needed to pay with cash when we already paid the deposit with credit card. If we knew that, we would not chose this place because you can pay with credit card everywhere else. To get some cash, we tried 5 different atms and needed to do two withdrawals to collect the total amount of the money. It should be written in the description that you pay with cash. The owner said that she had a problem with the bank and it was Sunday so the bank was closed but I’ve found a comment on booking that another guest in the beginning of June hade the same comment about payment in cash. So I would recommend a place nearby instead so you can have the same location.
