HAKS Boutique is an exceptional B&B. We have travelled extensively but I do not think we have ever felt so immediately at home as there. The food is divine (please if you can also stay for dinner). Really worth a detour or just pencil it into your travel itenary.

The location is very good, being near to the airport. We stayed two nights, transitioning from other places in Sabah, so this was very handy. The room was very spacious and air conditioned. Having a pool to relax in was also a bonus. Tisha and Simon were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. Now ... the food: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We had dinner (an optional extra) and breakfast there twice. All the food is grown on their farm and seasonal. I am vegetarian but my husband isn't. The food they presented was exceptional - tasty, interesting, colourful and individually made on the day. I cannot recommend their food highly enough - all the locals that came for dinner (lots of them) must've agreed.

This was an unforgettable stay - super dinner, lovely breakfast, comfortable room and terrific, helpful comms with the owners, for whom nothing was too much trouble.
