Kind staff, view from terrace, breakfast, good value for money

Not many Power sockets, no hair shampoo, but we only stayed for 1 night out of season so we didn't bother

The location is superb. Going to sleep looking out on the sunset on the Saas-Fee mountain range and waking up to the sunrise whilst lying in bed was amazing. The hotel is aptly named. This is an historic hotel, built by Gilbert's parents. The owner is friendly. Breakfasts were plentiful, with croissants and two types of bread, charcuterie and cheese, boiled egg and yoghurt. I had dinner each night and enjoyed the care with which the dishes were prepared by Gilbert. Main courses had an element of fruit and innovative decorative vegetable features. I would stay again.

I felt comfortable and appreciated the hotel for what it is. A welcoming place to return to after a day's hiking. It suited my needs perfectly. What's not to like?

The host who is the owner of the hotel is very kind and carrying person. Rooms are big and spacious. Parking is free. It has a bar and restaurant. Owner enquired about breakfast (included in price) night before and made it ready in the morning as requested. Lovely !
