Hinode Ryokan

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sunrise Inn Hinode and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Ise. My tatami room was spacious for a solo traveller and thoughtfully furnished, including a convenient tray for storing small personal items. The room also came with a hot water dispenser, green tea, cups, a yukata, and towels, which made my stay even more comfortable. The shared female toilet facilities were exceptionally impressive—large, modern, recently refurbished, and spotlessly clean. I never had to wait to use them. I was also able to enjoy both the shower and hot bath entirely to myself during off-peak hours (around 3:00 PM and 9:00 AM), which felt like a private onsen experience. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. I particularly appreciated the complimentary laundry facilities, including free detergent and drying racks. With three washing machines and three dryers available, doing laundry was convenient and hassle-free. Another major advantage is the inn's proximity to Ise Station, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.

very large spacious Japanese style room, quiet, nice Japanese breakfast, traditional ryokan very close to Ise train station with lots of shops and eateries very nearby, great access to buses too to get to nearby attractions. Also very accommodating and attentive staff.

It was our choice so we lived with it: the large room was traditional Japanese style all tatami mat floor, futons for beds, low table to sit at with just cushions, no chairs or desks but very spacious. Also washing & bathroom facilities were outside the room and shared with other guests..

Early Showa architecture and design is nostalgic and comforting in a rustic way. Plenty of rooms easily handled our group of 11.

The old Japanese inn atmosphere was great, and the staff were amazing!

The modern additions (such as a ping pong table near the bath) were not necessarily added value to the property.
