Tasman Holiday Parks - Beachaven

Well-situated, close to the beach, exceptional staff and very tidy and clean facilities. For the fourth time staying, and we will be back!

Stayed in a different unit than usual and the noise from dogs and other campers was more pronounced. Will ensure to choose the usual units we like next time.

Clean and warm cabin, very close to the beach, and dogs are allowed.

Could have done with an extra tea towel but when that's the only complaint you know it's a great place to be.

Clean, good location to the beach. All the basics were covered. Great spot if you're social with kids.

Ants were a problem both days we were there. Kitchen utensils were very basic. The layout and the vibe of the camp was a bit cramped, lacking in privacy. Not great for a winter stay as the cabin was clearly not insulated, absolutely freezing early June. Bathroom in particular needed some TLC.

The cabin we ended up in was very nice. Management listened when we expressed our concern and disappointment at the disorganised and uncommunicative way they handled a bad weather event.

We arrived at the beginning of a severe storm and our allocated cabin was on the lowest corner of the grounds. It rained very heavily and the grounds had flooded by morning, rising steadily. We had slept in an uncomfortable too-firm bed. Early morning, we were asked to head out through the flood waters to higher ground where empty cabins had been unlocked to move to. This was great, but I don't understand why we hadn't been upgraded to this the night before, when staff were aware of the history of flooding events and the likelihood of it overnight due to the weather warnings. We were initially moved into someone else's cabin, management believing the person had vacated. This wasn't the case and when we were asked to move again, it was left to us to find a cabin that was empty. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing and overpriced experience.
