Sleeping & Layout:
-Four bedrooms accommodating up to 11 guests
(3 Queen beds, 1 set of double bunks, 2 Singles)
-Two modern bathrooms with showers and separate toilets
-Open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area — perfect for gathering
Comfort & Convenience:
-Full central heating throughout
-Quality linen provided, including bath towels and tea towels
-TV, DVD player, games, and DVD collection
-WiFi available
-Complimentary tea and coffee
-Washing machine (note: may be restricted in dry weather due to tank water supply)
-Cleaning included on departure
Kitchen & Outdoor Living:
-Fridge-freezer, quality cookware, cutlery, crockery, and glassware
-Large covered deck with sweeping views over Halfmoon Bay
-Weber BBQ and gas-powered pizza oven — great for relaxed evenings
-Portacot and high chair available on request
Parking & Access:
-Plenty of off-street parking for cars and boats
-Just a short 2-minute walk to the ferry, shops, and restaurants
Check-in / Check-out:
-Check-in from 4:00pm - guests arriving early can store luggage at the local DOC office, which offers secure lockers.
-Check-out by 10:00am
Arrival & Transport:
-Self check-in via lockbox — details will be provided prior to your stay
-Courtesy transport from the ferry terminal or flight depot to the house is available on arrival
House Rules:
-We appreciate your care and consideration of the house, our neighbours, and the environment.
-No parties or events
-No smoking indoors
-No pets
-Please leave the house neat and tidy and take rubbish/recycling out

-The house runs on rain-fed tank water — please conserve water where possible

Kereru house is so comfy and welcoming. The house is so well designed and just enhances the location. So much birdlife to see just from the balcony. We loved the house and the island.

Clean, well appointed and central.Had a wonderful stay at the house, enjoyable midwinter break. One of our party struggled with the steep street, but all in all a very nice place to stay. Off street parking is available, so, when we stay there again, we’ll rent a car.
