Pleasant, welcoming, tidy and overall clean.

Cleanliness was mostly great. Owners were awesome - very friendly and welcoming. Our room was tended to even though it was Christmas. The room was a great size for 5 of us staying there. Location was also good.

Great start to visiting New Zealand!

Dave was very kind to make arrangements for our late check-in. He was wonderful to talk to and a great source of information. Stonehaven Motel is conveniently located between Auckland and Cape Reinga and about an hour south of Paihia and the Bay of Islands. It is centrally located, which made day trips a pleasant outing. Dave made sure we had tea and coffee readily available each day upon our return from our daily excursions. Our room was spacious and clean. Eateries and grocer was within walking distance!

Great location. Value for money. Nice & clean. Area/room was small, but was fine for me & had everything I needed. Sky TV. Heat pump. Friendly staff. Free tea/coffee/milk etc.

Parking was tight. If you have a small vehicle it’s fine. I had to back in off the road in the dark as once a few more guests turned up, there wasn’t enough room for me to turn around in parking area. Not much the owner can do about that.

A Great wee place to stay close to the city whilst being far enough away from it!

The host was great, he showed me to my room, gave me a brief tour and wanted to ensure I was ok on local knowledge. The room was good, no noise from neighbouring rooms and the bed was comfortable.

The Wifi seemed to not be the best, it seemed to come and go. The shower had good pressure but the shower head height in the cubicle didn't really help being a tall bloke, it came up to chest height. Parking is also at a premium, especially with a load of Rangers and Hiluxes in the place. But that's the worst of it!

Dave was an extremely kind, considerate and gracious host and we had a wonderful 10 days at Stonehaven. The facilities were comfortable and plentiful, the views from our room were beautiful, and the Sky channels were an unexpected bonus. Thanks so much!
