Buildings need maintenance

Gorgeous property in old castle style with Georgian traditions. It is sinking in the luxurious greens: grapes, fruit trees, roses and mysterious ivy. There are two outdoor swimming pools. We prefer the one with the charming view of the mountains. It has an elevator, which was very important for my 82-year old mother. Our rooms were pretty spacious with the stunning mountains view. The beds were comfortable, clean linens. It was complimentary water bottles in the room, which was so thoughtful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We also took a horse ride in the woods, with our guide Alex. It was very memorable and brought a great feelings of interaction with beautiful animals.

There is nothing you wouldn’t like about this property. It feels warm and home like.

Hotel has excellent location, as it is very near to Telavi. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Rooms exceeded expatiation as it was big and bright. Very clean and cosy as well. Beds are very comfortable and we had a good night sleep. In the morning we had fabulous traditional Georgian breakfast. Unique local wines are available at Hotel. Being in Chateau Mere means having a touch with local culture and tradition of wine.

Great location, you are near very nice places to visit, and the room had an amazing view of the area. The Chateau was an interesting complex of buildings. Decent breakfast with great fruits served amongst eggs, bread, sausages, local cheese and more. There are two available outdoor pools (not heated). They offer a list of relaxing massage options and spa related services with a discount. They gave us an iron for our clothes. There are dogs and cats in the outside area of the property which is definitely a plus for me.

We weren’t allowed to park close to the main entrance, we could only pass the gate to bring out our luggage’s and then had to park outside in front of the building in the parking of the property. The receptionists weren’t always there, sometimes we had to wait or come back later. The house rules were told to us, breakfast at 9-11, checkout at 11 but they weren’t written or available elsewhere. The room was located in the main building and it was huge, though there was a constant smell from the drains which made the stay rather unpleasant. There wasn’t an extra toilet paper so we had to ask for one more - which is fine but usually there is at least one extra. The available hand soap was nearly empty and the ones available to shower were not that full.
