Angela is a delightful lady who gave us good advice on restaurants, shopping, buses and museums Good value for money as the island is very expensive

The room was lovely and absolutely spotless. The host was most gracious, interesting, and knowledgeable about Mykonos and the history. She is also an accomplished artist, a few pieces of her work adorn the walls of the rooms! Angela is charming and the property reflects her personality! She gave us some good suggestions for meals, which we sampled, and she did not lead us astray. Angela's Rooms sits almost at the top of a hill above the center of the historic, picturesque town. The windmills are located about a five minute walk down the hill, and the center of town is about 10 minutes. The bus station is at the bottom of the hill, convenient for catching a bus to see other parts of the island. The ferry port and tour boats are not far. The public bus services the airport regularly. I hired a taxi at a cost of 25 Euros, which seems excessive, but the challenge for drivers on the VERY narrow and busy roads makes the cost seem not enough! I tipped 5 Euros for dropping me at the entrance to the walkway to Angela's Rooms, thankful I did to choose to walk up the hill from the airport, a short two miles with no sidewalk and crazy traffic!! The bus would be ok alternative unless the trip to the island leaves you feeling like treating yourself to a pleasant chat with a local driver!
