Flåm Hostel & Cabins

My wife and I are NOT Hostel people. I did not know at least at this Flam Hostel and Cabins you can get a private bathroom. Did not also realize you can park here, and it's only maybe a 7-minute walk to the big part of town, if you can call it a town. Loved there is a giant room with comfortable chairs and couches where you can hang out and not feel cooped up in a room. It was clean. We bought some food before getting there. Downstairs, there is a shared kitchen, and you get your own little compartment in their refrigerator. I thought I'd hate this place...it turned out to be one of my favorite stays in Norway. It's private UNLESS maybe you like to share a bathroom?. You can get a private one.

Overall nothing....maybe could use a coffee make IN room. A little walk upstairs with your luggage, but NOT bad. You gotta make your own bed, rent some sheets and towels but super cheap and no big deal!

Closeness to center of Flåm. Scenery and grounds lovely. Pizza shop on grounds.

Mattress on bunk bed weak and towels could be thicker.

The location was good, just beside the station. The view from the kitchen and balcony was nice.

The room was too small, the bed and bedsheets had some weird smell.
