Position

The accommodation was booked for my Wife and me to stay in for my Daughter’s wedding.We travelled to the property weeks beforehand and were pleased with reception and pool areas.When we checked in we were confident that we had chosen well.Following our lead, our Daughter, her fiancé and bridesmaid also booked rooms.How wrong we were. We broke a one bedroom agreement being a penthouse with sea view and solarium.We intended our apartment to be a centre for our Son and his infant family to be able to relax for a short while each day, enjoying the view and the jacuzzi.Upon occupying the room, we discovered that it was very old with so many issues. The cupboard fronts didn’t close so we constantly bashed into them as we moved around the apartment. The utensils were so few in number we had to queue at reception to obtain basic items, kitchen knife, corkscrew, tea towel to dry dishes.These items were provided, eventually, only then to be removed necessitating re requests of reception.These items walls had holes in the and doors had rudimentary closing abilities.The bathroom had been semi renovated years ago but the original wall and floor holdings were still in place causing trip issues.Toilet roll holder was on a permanent slant so rendering it useless. Floor ceramic tiles were broken and indeed one was so badly smashed that I cut my foot on it when visiting the toilet in the night.The balcony was pleasant but access to the solarium was via the narrowest steepest spiral staircase.I really think that it was extremely difficult and dangerous to use particularly at our age and useless for small children.The solarium offered no cover for guests even though neighbours’ solaria did have useful cover. We asked for an umbrella to enable us to use an umbrella stand and were informed that they did not know if the accommodation possessed one. Eventually an old umbrella was produced which was of no real worth.

Great suites!

Excellent location. Couple of minutes walking to the beautiful beach and the promenade, 15 minutes to the old town. You can easely reach Puerto Banus, Canada Center Mall and other surroundings by car or bus. Very spacious clean suites, equipped kitchen, balcony, very good Wi-Fi, cable TV with some English channels. There is a big pool and free parking around. The hotel itself and surrondings are very clean. The hotel offers on site Italian restaurant, where you can enjoy breakfast or brunch. The staff is nice and helpful.Great for couples or family. Enjoy!

The rooms and common areas were not clean at all, with a bad smell everywhere. Overall, it was uncomfortable and far below expectations. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Great for a mini break

Check in was very prompt. Room wasn't ready till 3pm so we went out and had a fantastic lunch at a tapas restaurant a short walk from the property. Very nice stay for a short break.

We have stayed here several times as we are 2 friends and having separate bedrooms and bathrooms really suits us. We have always been very happy with the suites but on this occasion we had to ask to change as they gave us a suite which was substandard. We were informed by reception that the management who let the rooms do not do quality checks.

Girls weekend away

The location was perfect. It was nice that the hotel was big enough not to feel crowded around the pool. The suites were a great size, and so good to have plenty of bathroom space for a group of girls! The mini bar was wonderfully stocked too.

It was a shame not to have use of the hot tub when we were there. These were not advertised, but we'd have loved to use them!

do not use Guadalpin Suites to Book use 'GUADALPIN BOUTIQUE'

I have stayed at this property many times this time I booked through the Guadalpin 'Suites' but never again, rude arrogant incompetent receptionists left waiting almost an hour to checkout while they checked the room and then overcharged for extras .... be sure to book through Guadalpin 'BOUTIQUE' side of this property never had any problems with them

there was no manager on site to report the rude & arrogant behaviour of the receptionist, Sonia.... while left waiting almost one hour to checkout I had to sit next to some man's dirty underwear ! see photo ... I asked Sonia twice to get them removed and she totally ignored me in fact laughed and smirked in my face

Comfortable stay

We had a stunning view from our three bedroom apartment overlooked the sea. Compact apartment and had most of the things that we needed. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast options although it was more often than not cold.

Cold breakfast, restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner. The pool opening time was at 11am which was a real disappointment.

Was a good location

Firstly, when I walked into the room of the hotel the room smelled of something and the smell did not go until we left. The staff do not answer there phones when you call them, there is no point in even calling as they don’t know what to do. The safe only works with cards and copies the magnetic thing on the card?? I’ve never seen a safe like that in the hotel and was insanely hard to figure out until finally the staff sent someone up to help. The AC vents were extremely dirty, it may be dust? Mould? Whatever it was was disgusting and needs to be cleaned and checked out instantly. The shower head would not stay up and kept falling and the only way I could shower was putting it up against the wall which then makes the whole place flood, however how else can you shower? Also some questionable art but won’t go into that.
