Great experience in a cosy hotel slightly away from the crowded center of Lugano

Very nice and spacious room on the ground floor, feels cosy and quiet, delicious food, indoor swimming pool and lovely stuff. Japanese restaurant was pricy but brilliant - very much enjoyed our dinner.

We decided to come by public transportation, which was ok but not perfect given the construction around, with a baby stroller and reduced frequency of local busses over the weekend . We were granted the Tichino ticket for free rides across the canton which we found very generous (for trains too).

The staff was very nice and friendly. Also the bathroom was quite new and match the expectations. the location is great if you want to go hiking on the san salvatore

Unfortunately I'm quite disappointed of several thing: - we booked with terrace but we had no view and it was all shadow compared to the other rooms with terrace. - the terrace was dirty and the chairs were not comfortable - the pool we could not use because there were only 4 places to lay next to the pool and they were all already taken - hairdryer was not as known for 4star hotel (you need to push the button until your hair is dry, that can take a while with long hair) - I mentioned that we want 1 extra large double bed but we got two beds that were shoved to each other so there was a gap in between

We had a triple room as we were traveling with our 12 year old . The third bed which was a sofa bed was not comfortable at all. That you definitely need to look into . Rest was great !

Great location. Spacious suite.

We were pleasantly surprised by the large size of the suite at the top of the hotel, perfect for the 3 of us without feeling crowded during our stay. Views were lovely. Location was excellent, and great for the activities we had planned: perfect for strolling into Lugano, but also close to the funicular for Monte San Salvatore and also a spa down the road that we had booked into. We loved the illy coffee machine provided and the nice welcome touches. Housekeeping were always great & kept our coffee pods topped up.

Decor feels tired and outdated. The suite we were in needed modernising, including bathrooms. The balcony would be amazing if it was renovated and soft furnishings provided. The footpath is very hidden and there was little/no way finding, we had to walk past a bush & other people's accommodation (we ended up providing other lost guests directions too). Air con unit was constantly making loud buzzing noises when off, so we had to keep switching rooms which was frustrating, took us a while to sleep/settle because of it.

In general, it was a very pleasant stay. We arrived very late so we had dinner in the cigar bar which was great.

The lady at the reception wasn’t very friendly. No one helped us with our suitcases when we arrived

Switzerland, so it’s expensive. Also, like most places in Lugano, it’s up a hill with winding roads, so neighborhood walks involve a lot of up and down and stairs.

The team was outstanding. The location is very comfortable and the overall facility is fantastic. We had great time and may come again if we are in the region.

The climb from the train station up to the hotel was a little hard at the end of the day. The shuttle service provided to us was very comfortable and the driver was very pleasant and professional.

the view of the room was so good , we took a good room at -2 floor it was really nice view with garden , spacious room and clean provided with nespresso machine , free parking

restaurent was very expensive , breakfast was 35Ch for one person which is not value for what they have at the buffet , staff at reception not really helpful , no one can help y with luggage
