Modern luxury house in the heart of the Golden Circle. Hot tub and sauna.

Great house centrally located in the Golden circle area. Has all the amenities travelers would need. Kitchen very well stocked. Cooked in three of the nights. Well maintained hot tub and sauna. The owner lays out directions for use of all amenities and very easy to follow. Plenty of beds for sleeping arrangements. The only thing we were caught off guard was that there is only one indoor shower. It does have a double showerhead. The upstairs bathroom is only a half bath. And the outdoor shower does work but it is a little chilly to say the least. With six adults, we just had our own designated shower time some in the morning, some at night to make it work, all part of the adventure of Iceland! I still give this a five star rating because the house itself is beautiful, well maintained and host is absolutely fantastic of communicating back to you if you have any questions. FYI, if you are relatively decent shape and like adventure go on Glymer waterfall hike. Take water and snacks because it is between 3 to 4 hour round-trip. Also take water shoes because when you reach the top, you can walk across the river and go down the other side. I recommend staying to the right you’ll walk through a cave, then along the river and then come to a log that you’ll walk across over the river. It’s not hard to walk across. Then it is a moderate intensity hike to the top but amazing photos on the way up. The best photos of our nine day trip in Iceland.Enjoy!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Selfoss! Thorsteinn was an exceptional host—very kind, responsive, and always quick to answer any questions we had, which made everything so easy and stress-free.The home exceeded our expectations in every way. The photos truly don’t do it justice—it’s even more beautiful and spacious in person. We were two families of six, and there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out comfortably.One of the highlights of our trip was seeing the northern lights right from the house—such an unforgettable experience! The home was also perfectly set up for our group. We cooked all of our dinners there and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with everything we needed. Having both a drip coffee maker and a Nespresso machine was a great bonus and something we really appreciated.The beds were very comfortable, and the entire home felt cozy and welcoming. The location made it an ideal home base for exploring Iceland’s southern coast.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!
