The property is beautifully maintained, from the inspiring gardens to every little detail, surrounded by a truly cinematic landscape. Contrary to what some reviews say, breakfast was impeccable, simple yet chic, refined in every way. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival by a kind gentleman, I believe his name was Laurent, and I would also like to thank the young man who assisted me at breakfast and prepared a delicious hot chocolate.
The staff is discreet, and they let you live the experience as if you were truly at home, without interruptions or anything commercial, which makes it even more authentic. I even enjoyed a sunny day by the pool, I was lucky, the weather was just perfect, and walking through the wine cellar to reach it made everything even more charming. It felt like a real tour through the château itself.
The linens were of exceptional quality, and the bathroom in my room had a wonderful bathtub, one of the best I have ever enjoyed. Later that evening, I had a glass of wine by the fireplace in the beautiful room that blends music, games and books, surrounded by warmth and charm. The sound of “Fever” by Peggy Lee was waiting on the stereo, as if by fate, and it made the night even more unforgettable. I felt powerful, a true queen of the castle. C’est la magie du château.
I enjoyed everything.

Such a unique chateau in that it was once a hunting chateau. We loved that it was just outside of town so we could have a bit of respite from travel and yet quick drive to dinner. Comfy beds and very clean.

Everything, what a fantastic chateau, nicely decorated with great rooms
The only thing breakfast was not large enough for me, I d recommend breakfast in Amboise

A fantastic chateau experience nearby Amboise. The building and room were lovely with big windows overlooking the grounds. We lingered in bed watching the horses and deer in the park. We were too late in the year to enjoy the pool, but it looked very inviting for warmer weather visitors.
Food options on site other than for breakfast. A note with the room asks guests not to picnic in the rooms, but with a rural location and without a restaurant or bar within walking distance this seems a little restrictive.

Amazing chateau and Laurent the manager is fantastic. It is very close to Amboise and the breakfast option is great. Beautiful grounds and the room was exceptional. I would highly recommend the chateau.

Not Much
Firstly finding the place is a joke, the GPS doesn't work, the directions take you to a dead end lane and no-one is there in the evening to answer phone calls for help.
The owners are arrogant, confrontational, has no idea about customer service or satisfaction. They shout and scream at guests. The renter from July 2025 summed him up well as like Basil Fawlty - but with no fun bits!!
My wife had a bad fall in our room due to the bed being placed on a narrow plinth (not allowed in any place I've been to before) sprained wrist, huge bruises on knee and hip and twisted shoulder. Expecting some sympathy and at least an offer of a ice bag we saw the owner and all we got was the owner screaming at us for blaming the bed !! and he wanted us to leave instantly (we had paid for another night) or he would call the cops, we called his bluff and told him to go ahead at which point he allowed us to stay the night but had to be out before breakfast!! - He obviously didn't want us talking to the other guests.
One of the worst experiences we have ever had in many years of travel throughout Europe and France in particular.

Nice in the country location. Spacious room. Very quiet.
Some furnishings a bit tawdry and overworn for a
Premium location.

If you want a raw Château experience, good place to stay.
No basic amenities. No water / coffee in the room. The main town is 10/15 away minutes by car. No one at the reception counter to greet or answer your questions.

Beautifully furnished, breathtaking grounds, the history of the chateau was so evident, a special treat. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The only thing that surprised me was the bed linen - both beds had holes in the sheets.

Lots of character and beautiful grounds
6.0 / 10.0
Lovely building and grounds.
No tea or coffee in the room, no bar facilities, more like an up market B and B.
Bathroom had a broken toilet seat, bath was of a very poor quality, and it was dangerous to stand up in as it moved.

We stayed in the L’Orangerie which is perfect if travelling with three children. We had space to do our own thing but delicious breakfast provided every day to each on our terrace. The swimming pool was one of the best - deep at one end so great for teaching kids to dive and no one in it! The hotel manager was very kind and welcoming. The chateau itself was beautiful and the surrounding countryside and wildlife stunning.

Stunning place to stay! The property is gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast also available on site which was nice. Beautiful salon for relaxing, reading, piano or games. We were slightly early to check in but were able to leave our luggage and come back later. Only 8 mins drive into the main town area.
Nothing. Everything was perfect!

Lovely historic location close to Amboise. Very peaceful with lovely pool area and self-serve drinks. Breakfast on the terrace was very special. Easy parking.
A legacy of the chateau’s hunting past but if stuffed animals bother you this may not be your place.

The most amazing property. A castle , rolling hills with horses, a stream for fishing, wonderful croissants for breakfast and the most welcoming host, Laurent. Easy to get to. Very close to the beautiful and charming Amboise. Very near to the other must see chateaus.

Lovely location, peaceful setting, comfortable room and bed. Pool was warm and so clean long enough for serious laps
I personally hate square pillows on a bed that really is my only really petty gripe
How do you use them???

A stunning property, we felt so welcomed and at home. The pool was a welcome treat in the hot weather and the outdoor kitchen with everything we needed was perfect. Taxis are hard to secure in the area so we bought food and wine from local producers and sat in the garden for dinner and enjoyed the views.
Nothing!

Full of character and charm, set within a tranquil location.
Great outside pool, supporting self catering for outside picnicking and a fridge to keep the drinks cool.
Only inconvenience we had was no tea and coffee making facilities to the room, a small fridge would be of huge benefit too especially with the heat experienced this summer

It is an amazing property. A real hunting lodge from the 17th century. Lots of memorabilia. Good location on the outskirts of Amboise.
Minimal facilities in terms of service other than breakfast. The furniture had a few stains and one of the sofas had a rip.

This was a beautiful place to stay, and felt cozy and restful. There were so many things that made it extra charming- the decor around the chateau, the spaces to roam around, the room was comfortable and spacious, bath tub, quietness, and the horses on site!
The breakfast could've included more substantial food. It would've been nice to have coffee/tea in the room, although we figured out on the last day that there was a mini fridge and espresso machine in the lounge room that we weren't told about.

We stayed in the Oragenrie, which is very large, has a common area and kitchen, and was perfect for our family of four, though it could host 5. The breakfast was delivered to the room every single day and it was, hands down, the best breakfast we've had (warm croissants and bread, orange juice, butter, etc.) The huge bathtub is a must see/try and the wonderful high end little touches (high quality soap) enhanced our stay. The Castle is breathtaking and we have felt pampered by the amazing staff. The pool looks great, but we did not try it, as it was a little cold when we visited. There is an area around the castle and we loved the three horses.

This property is beautiful! We stayed in the "lodge" which is detached from the main building, but we actually got a view of the Chateau from our room, and wonderful views of the fields and horses. We were just a very short walk to the chateau for breakfast, and also had access to a "salon" area in the main building whenever we wanted. Our room in the lodge was incredibly spacious, with lots of amenities, including its own little kitchenette.

Our stay in Hector room was amazing. The view overlooking the pool and garden watching horses graze, tranquility at its best. But the highest praise goes to the amazing claw foot bathtub a spa-like experience.

It was a fabulous property and the room and breakfast were sublime
The swimming pool was filthy and unclean and the water quality was terrible - I tested the water with a kit and it was unsafe to go in

Beautiful property on a gorgeous peace of land. It is important to note that it is a B&B, so no restaurant service.
they could not accommodate a gluten free breakfast.
