Villa Poinciana is a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 1300 square foot house with covered decks wrapping around both buildings. The surrounding foliage engulfs the wooden structures.
Located in the quiet southwest corner of Providenciales near Sapodilla Bay, this charming villa is situated on the water's edge of scenic Chalk Sound National Park, a Turks and Caicos Island wildlife sanctuary.
Villa Poinciana is two separate but connected West Indies style wooden structures nestled comfortably into the natural flora and rock formations of the Chalk Sound shoreline. Poinciana comes with thre kayaks for your enjoyment exploring the islands in Chalk Sound.
One building contains the living room, kitchen, dining area and a full bath; and the other, two large bedrooms both with en-suite baths creating a tree-house atmosphere that is enhanced by the connecting wooden walkways and surrounding tropical plants. The many decks and connecting walkways offer sweeping views of a brilliant turquoise blue water you will remember forever.
Poinciana can comfortably accommodate a party of 4. Additionally, there is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room appropriate for an extra child or adults and a sleeping loft in the guest suite. Despite Poinciana's Swiss Family Robinson appearance, it has the modern conveniences of flat screen TVs, wireless internet, and bluetooth audio speakers for your enjoyment. Awesome stay! The house has an authentic carribean feel and stunning views. We & our bosy (11 & 6) fell in love with Chalk Sound. We swam, snorkeled, kayaked, and saw iguanas. Could not ask for more. There was a closet stocked full of chairs, umbrellas, snorkels, fins, floats, cooler, etc. We didn't kayak far out, as the large island close by was all the adventure we needed. Snorkeling around the island we saw plenty smaller fish & several baraccuda. We saw 12 iguanas on the right side of the island. Hoping we make it back to TCI one day & would absolutely stay here again! The house is well stocked for cooking and plenty towels. A very homy lived in feel. Very private with surrounding garden & private dock. I cannot say enough wonderful things. The only cautions I would give is the stairs might not be great for older guests. Was not a problem for us. Laundry is on the ground level, living area above, then stairs up to the second building with bedrooms. The other thing to note is that each of the two bedrooms are only accessable from the outside, which may not be ideal for small children. Taylor Bay is walkable, or 2 minute drive. Awesome swim beach for the whole family. Calm, shallow, and clear. We enjoyed Chalk Sound & Taylor so much that we did not make it to Sapodilla Bay, but it's also just down the road. Highly recommed Las Brisas restaurant and Omars beach hut, in the area.Grace Bay is about a 20-30 minute drive. Traffic does get heavy late afternoon.

Beautiful property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the proximity to local beaches. Appreciated the kayaks provided and spending time on Chalk Sound. Colin was very responsive and replied quickly to questions. We would definitely return!

First, the best parts……location on Chalk Sound is excellent. This is our second time renting in the area and you can walk to Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay beaches within 10-15 min. Being able to to kayak with all 4 of us on the sound was fantastic and easy to get to Iguana Island. The VIEWS are incredible from the main building! Kitchen is well stocked with all the pans and utensils you’ll need if you plan on cooking.
Some things to be aware of….there are bugs (a variety) that can sneak their way in through the window/door screens. Bug zappers are provided in the main building and both bedrooms to help. I messaged Colin that some of the screens have come loose from the frames and he was very quick to respond asking how many so he can order replacements. The indoor bug zappers were appreciated but even the need to have them was surprising….the last time we rented (approximately 10 houses down) we had zero issues with indoor bugs. So for everyone coming after us, you’ll hopefully be fine. For us it was a daily battle.
The night before check out I wanted to do laundry as we had a second leg of our vacation and packed assuming we could wash our clothes. The washing machine stopped filling with water shortly after starting. It was very difficult to reach Colin this time. Messaged through VRBO, private email, text to cell and left 2 vm’s…..it took over 2 hours to hear back. Needless to say, the mechanic finally arrived about 9:00 pm and I was doing laundry until 10:30 pm.
