Zámek Ruda nad Moravou

Imagine buying your own castle and having to rebuild it ! The message from the owners warned us not to be put off by the look of a building site! There was plenty of parking. Once inside we had a great suite of rooms. The key to a great stay was: comfortable beds, a bath shower that was simple but which never ran out of warm water, a very good kitchen and equipment, a washing machine. If you are travelling you need such places to stop at to get everything clean and fresh and relax. Take a look at the photo of the view from our window over the parkland and to the hills. Nearby was a large open air swimming pool - even in the 30 degrees plus weather of this summer the water was cool. In the evening it seems the famillies of the whole town visits. There is a good Hruska supermarket a short drive away and a smaller co-op in walking distance. Within an hour's drive there is lots to do. We loved it there and would be very happy to go back again.

Nothing - go now before the rebuilding is complete and the price shoots up!

Pretty far off the beaten path not far from Králíky, this stay is a very unique spot for a night, and I enjoyed the room! For Americans, don’t expect a hotel or the Ritz, you are staying in an old castle but updated and clean room! Not what I was expecting, but really enjoyed it! No onsite staff, but staff was quick and very accommodating!

External building was a bit older than I imagined and I really did not know if I was in the correct location, but no complaints and thought it was good value! Was not sure where to eat nearby.

The feeling of the place is great, neighbourhood is silent, a kind of place where you can actually rest, without too many distractions. The atmosphere of the castle has something magical about it. The staff is friendly and helpful with providing all the necessary information.

Bathroom could have at least 1 shelf to put my stuff somewhere. Other than that no objections.

Very good location to explore the region. Beautiful view
