I re-book this stay after going to the highlands during my stay in Ecuador. I found this to be a good place to rest in Guayaquil. host is very reachable and it make your stay easy.

Being from Guayaquil and living abroad (I am a tourist in my own city), this is a good place to stay if you have a car or you are willing to travel by taxi all the time. The location is a closed-gate neighborhood not so far from the city center. The rooms are very small but that is the standard building in "new Guayaquil" The host is easy to reach and always responsive by phone or Whatsapp.
All rooms are equipped with AC which is a must in Guayaquil.
Everything was good. Just mind that a taxi will cost you around 6-10 dollars to get to the house from the city. but that is normal if you would like to have some safety and be in a quiet place in Guayaquil.

we enjoyed the private apartment with a parking space available, and it was easy to access the neighborhood. We liked having a tv and AC in each room. there is a small shopping area very close by as well
it is a small apartment, which worked well for us but might not be ideal for larger groups
