Lovely small hotel in a convenient location

A better view from our room, we kept curtains closed as had people walking past. Some of views from other rooms would have been stunning

Great place, fantastic view, superb breakfast

This is a fantastic place. From the moment you arrive, the staff (Christina) makes you feel very welcome. The place is beautiful with a great view of the mountains. The room was clean, very well furnished, and very comfortable. It’s located a short distance off the main road and village square, which means it’s super quiet and restful. We had our best sleep of the trip. We can’t praise the breakfast enough: taken on a terrace with the view, they kept bringing out small dishes of various foods, all very tasty. Highly recommended.

Everything was good. But a tip: there is a very short (50 m) but rough and narrow road leading to the hotel and parking. They will send you directions on how best to get there. Follow their advise. The GPS alternative is harder.

Very good property - difficult to locate.

Room, breakfast very good. Staff very polite.

Property very difficult to find, no answer on the phone - took us an hour or so of walking around. Hotel has a different name, no visible sign to help find.

Lovely hotel in mountain location

Location is good for walking the Vikos Gorge. Lovely, clean room and bathroom. Very quiet. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. Nice to have breakfast served at the table and not have a buffet style breakfast.

Quiet time of year, so we thought the hotel was closed when we arrived. Rough road up to car park.

Lovely quiet hotel - not a spa

Beautiful new hotel in Monodendri, potentially the most vibrant of the villages, with a quiet location, close to the Museum and a few minutes walk to Frosso's restaurant with excellent food. We booked a huge room because we expected afternoon showers, Spring in the mountains, and the room was very comfortable.

When the cleaning lady cleaned the room she put a ridiculous amount of detergent in the toilet. Not only is this bad for the environment but it also gave the room a strong chemical smell, which was better only after 10min of airing . The breakfast was almost the same every day and very carb heavy. A different lady served us one morning and she offered to make us eggs any way we liked, which was nice. We didn't realise the spa facilities were at an extra cost (30€ for 20min).The sauna was very small so my husband and I just about fit, and 20min proved to be long for us anyway. The spa in the name is perhaps misleading.

Very quiet and comfortable stay in stylish accommodation

Spacious room, which was clean and well presented. The bed was especially comfortable. Welcoming staff and very personal service as we were the only guests! Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. Beautiful views from the patio area and the whole property was well maintained. I'd be happy to stay again when next visiting the area

Perfect stay in Monodendri

The interior of the hotel is amazing, with a kind of scottish atmosphere. The receptionist is extremely helpful and discrete. The room is fantastic, with a very much enjoyed fireplace in winter, a bed out of this world and a perfectly suited furniture. I literally felt out of time.

Not 5 star and definitely NOT a spa

The bed was big and very comfortable. The shower was great.

We booked this place because it advertises itself as a spa. It is not. It has a very small sauna (that does not get hot enough) and a steam room, squeezed into a small space. The only shower is in the steam room, which means you are unable to cool down properly. There is nowhere to sit and relax. You have to book your session in advance and it is limited to 40 min. In addition, I tried to book a treatment 2 days before coming and they failed to reply to the message or return my phone call. The breakfast organization is a joke. Although edible, not sure why some people rated it highly. The staff insist on serving you at the table but take their sweet time (we waited 20 min to even get hot water for tea). They bring tiny portions and even though you can request more, this means yet more waiting for everything. Plus, their coffee was the worst we had in Greece. For a 5-star hotel this is not good enough. They need to change it to a buffet and go visit other 5-star hotels to see how it should be done. Overall, style over substance.

Fabulous place with magnificent views and excellent facilities.

We liked everything about our stay at MountGrace. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious with a superb view of the mountains. The tips for restaurants in the neighbourhood were great. The best part was however the breakfast. It is served to your table and it is very generous. Everything is home made and just excellent. We stayed here to do the hike through the Vikos gorge and it is very convenient as you can just start from the village square which is 100 meters from the hotel.

The only point which could be improved is the parking. The way to the hotel is very steep and narrow and our rental car was struggling getting up there. Not sure whether there is an easier way to park around the hotel though as you are in the mountains and roads are steep.

Great property, at a fine location. Very stylish and well equiped.

The property is not ready for high temratures, air condiontion is not sufficient for high temprature, and sleeping was not easy.

Superb

A suit of 2 bedrooms. Each room has a large comfy double bed. The larger room has a nice sofa,small refrigerator, kettle, and AC. Each room has its own shower and toilet. Overall very beautiful rooms and beautiful hotel.

Great spot for exploring the Zagori region

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, comfy rooms, incredible breakfast, and reasonable rates. The spa is a dry sauna and steam room. I had never tried this before, but helped ease my aches and pains after a few days of hiking.

lovely hotel, book directly

it is a lovely stone building with beautiful interior, very comfortable rooms, we booked junior suite and it was very spacious,had a fairly generous breakfast with delicious freshly squeezed orange juice, vegan cheese and vegan yogurt and even vegan cake (1 out of 3 mornings) , coffee with your choice of milk (almond/oat/soya/cow ), well located to easily hike in the Vikos Gorge and to other paths too, beautiful views, has many restaurants nearby including the wonderful restaurant Kanela and Garyfalo in the village of Vitsas just a few minutes drive or 20 minute lovely walk. The hotel also has a wet and dry sauna which we enjoyed after a hard day’s hiking.

staff at reception were cold, coffee and tea facilities in the room but you had to pay for every coffee/tea you made 2.5 Eu, my junior suite was booked well in advance through booking. com and I was allocated the worst one, with no view and dark, this was disappointing. possibly the staff and room would’ve been nicer had we booked direction.

location, design. very pretty hotel located in the center of Monodendry. Breakfast is very generous with many options.

This hotel has an issue with coffee… they have a Nespresso machine in the room but charge the guests for using the pods. In Addition the price of a cup of coffee in the lobby was the most expensive we paid in Greece. Lastly at breakfast you receive one cup of coffee and is charged for the second one. We believe that in a hotel at this level coffee in the room should be free, you should receive as much as you want at breakfast and it shouldn’t be that expensive in the lobby.

the property is far from paved road and hard to get close to it for luggage loading amd unloading. when advertised as SPA i would expect a real SPA and not just a place for two in wet and dry saunas.
