Quiet place cottage has its own terrace

Price of the room is high

My room was kind of dark, and it was not a problem. Even though I had to ask the cleaning people to clean my room, they were pleasant and agreeable. It seems that they only service the room when you ask them. The location was great, and the breakfast was very good. The price is great for a solo traveler on a budget. If I return to Costa Rica, I will stay with them again.

I would prefer if they had breakfast cereal for adults. There was Fruit Loops for children, and another sweet cold cereal.

Internet was not working and they did not mention it at check-in or offer a credit. I could not get an internet connection from my room. The hotel left me a number to call for service requests, and it turned out to be someone - perhaps the owner - in Florida. However, he shamed me for calling and asking for service rather than walking 200' to the office and asking them. Although the employees were super courteous and helpful, the on-site manager and person in Florida were not. The rooms are a bit spartan and odd with most things pushed against the walls leaving a big open space in the middle. They could probably use some fabrics and decorations to make the place feel more homey.
