About this villa rental
Villa 2 – Suite 202 - (main floor)
1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, sleeps 3 + option for 1 more.
A very spacious 1 bedroom apartment with open concept living/dining rooms, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a very spacious bedroom with a Queen and a Twin bed. Paddle fans are placed both inside and outside for extra comfort. This apartment features convenient walk-outs from both the living room and bedroom through sliding glass doors which lead directly to a small private patio - for outdoor dining - and to the huge pool, sunning terraces and tropical gardens, and shaded gazebo. We can also put an additional Twin bed in the living room.
- If more space is required, an adjacent suite(s) - (Suite 203 & 204) – on the second floor of this Villa can also be rented separately. HomeAway listing 4568386 & 4568387.
Prices are based on occupancy of 2 persons per bedroom. Each additional person is charged $20/night. Additional beds can be arranged for with Management.

Accommodations feature high ceilings clad in rich tropical woods, complemented with regional art & ceramics throughout. Walls of glass and wrap-around terraces allow breathtaking views of the surrounding ocean, hills, and valleys, uniting you with Nature at your doorstep. Many varieties of birds and animals, including hummingbirds, parrots, butterflies, iguanas, monkeys, mapaches, even ocelots and other wild cats, coatimundi, armadillos, and anteaters inhabit the surrounding hills and valleys of our private preserve.
Mere minutes from your Villa are supermarkets, shops, hotels, discos, 4 world-class golf courses, casinos, and restaurants to satisfy the most demanding palate. An onsite BBQ is available for grillers. (Bring home your catch, steaks, shrimp, etc., and share with friends and family!).
Adventure activities on land and sea are all within easy reach. Snorkelling, surfing, beaching, birding, sailing, fishing - (onshore and offshore) - can easily be arranged. Land activities include several area zip lines, horseback riding, ATV adventures, hiking to a volcano, mud, and mineral hot spring baths, biking, river rafting, exploring waterfalls and so much more that can be easily arranged for you. We are always here for your comfort and convenience.
Wi-Fi is widely available throughout the property, so keeping in touch should not be a problem.
If the sedentary life appeals, lounge under the palms by our oasis-like 42-foot pool, and enjoy our beautiful tropical gardens. Do it all - or nothing at all!

Our family loved this place. The trek up the hill was unexpected - a bit hard to find (in the dark). There are zero lights anywhere. But once we settled in... We appreciated and enjoyed the privacy and personality.
It was quiet from the night action in town in the evening, but we never felt that we were too noisy with our kiddos playing for immediate neighbors.
You need a car... the walkable distances noted are not safe to walk. The pictures of the rooms are accurate - a bit dated, but who cares... the overall impression is understated; beautiful property and a genuine welcome feeling.
It was a first stop of many for us and one of my overall faves.

The grounds and views at Villa Casa Loma are beautiful. The views of sunsets and private location are perfect for someone wanting to relax and get away from everything. Igor and Tom were the perfect hosts. Guests should consider having a rental car due to steep driveway and location at the top of the hill.

Villa Casa Loma was everything we were looking for in a two week vacation - our accommodations were secure, spacious, quiet and clean with a kitchen for meal prep and bartop for eating (although we ate most meals just outside at the convenient patio just off our bedroom) A comfortable living room area with a tv was a great way to wind down the day and relax. Bedroom was spacious with patio doors that open on to pool area.
The grounds of Casa Loma are lush and green and are meticulously maintained - the staff work tirelessly to keep it that way. The pool was one of our favourite elements where we could cool off for a swim or sun ourselves...there’s plenty of shade under palm trees and pergola - the pool also is a social gathering where you can meet people from all over and have an adult beverage.
Tom and Igor were gracious hosts helping us out with any questions and provided options for interesting activities - there’s also WIFI if we needed to research or stay in touch with the rest of the world.
We are an active mid 40’s couple and would do our morning runs before the heat came so around 7:30 am we would run into town and back - each time we saw a family spider monkeys just at the entrance of the property, very cool. We also walked to the beach each day, the roads are not very “pedestrian friendly” so it’s probably not recommended for everyone but about a 20 minute walk to Playa Flamingo - a most excellent beach that was never crowded with waves to play in.
The end of each day brought some of the most incredible sunsets we had ever seen, we settled into a comfortable pattern of pouring a glass of wine and watching the sun set from a different vantage point each evening - all spectacular.
