Casa Vista

The views from the deck were every bit as magnificent as the photos suggest. The pool is not huge but very deep so swimming was a joy and it was so refreshing. The apartment was very well equipped lots of useful food and other comestibles which really helped. The bed was huge and very comfy with a very big airy bathroom. Verlinda and Ernie were very welcoming and supportive during our stay and arranged our airport pick up which introduced us to the wonderful Fabby. He is a taxi driver living close by and he ran us everywhere and anywhere we wanted.

As others have said it is a steep road down to the bay, and feels even steeper on the way back up, particularly in the heat! But Fabby didn’t mind running a couple of overheated later life people up and down so we enjoyed the restaurants on the bay as much as we wanted.

What can I say - this was the most amazing holiday from start to finish, and was complimented so much by our fantastic hosts Verlinda, and Ernie. From arrival to departure nothing was too much trouble, and our hosts took time to show us around Marigot Bay on arrival, and then also take us for a drive around the Rodney Bay area and Pigeon Point. The villa is outstanding, super clean, and has everything that you would need for a holiday. Believe me when I say we would most definitely return here, and will recommend to all friends and family. The living area is comfortable with satellite TV, and a DVD player. The laundry room had a nice big washer in it, and some powder had been left for us to use. The bedroom was most comfortable, and wardrobe space ample, with a good working air conditioning unit. The en-suite has a good large sized shower area, and bathroom, with hot water all the time. Kitchen area has a large American style fridge freezer, and large cooker, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, microwave, and all other essentials. The welcome pack was a nice touch, as was the local mobile phone left for us to use. Most appreciated!!!!

There are quite a few hills in Marigot Bay, and there are no pavements to walk on. It is not that we did not like it, I would just recommend that anyone with walking difficulties does not visit this area unless they are hiring a car, or taking taxis everywhere.
