    It was easy to access to the castle and kenroku-en. The staff were so friendly and polite. Room was spacious enough and cool interior. Highly recommend.

    Children loved the bunk beds… staffs were extremely friendly and the products they use were top notch! Design of the place is very nice and comfortable.

    We stayed at Japanese style moderate room. It was large enough for two of us & really nice to have spacious tatami area. Room didn’t have much functions. Maybe that is the concept? (Minimalist type room?) no towel bar near the sink. One thick one is very low of the sink, so I need to bend down to use the towel, and I wasn’t be able to hang my toiletries pouch around the sink, even not in the room. So my skincare stuff & make up stuff were far from the mirror. Only one bath towel bar. Overall nice designed room, but function details are missing in the room. I love the shower & bathtub are separated. There were a microwave & water saver in the community space. You can grab the amenities from downstairs. There was “welcome drink bar” every day we can drink for free. That was really nice. The hotel was very conveniently located. Walking distance to Omicho market and Korinbo area. Bus stop are 1-2 min walk from the hotel. Convince Stores are close by. The staff told me that if it’s not necessary to clean the room, we need to put the towels & trash outside of the door, so the housekeeper doesn’t come into our room. Therefore, we did that. However, it looked like a housekeeper came into our room. If I knew that, we would close our suitecases. I wasn’t able to find a safety box in our room & luckily we did not have any valuables left in the room. The Staff was very friendly & nice, and she may be just in training ?cuz there were several things she told us were wrong. (She explained me everything in Japanese which is my first language, so there shouldn’t be a language barrier between us.) I live in the U.S. long enough, so I didn’t mind, but I was very surprised that the service level of this hotel was not a topical Japanese service level I know. (I was born & raised in Japan) I knew we don’t need to stay at 5 star hotels to get a great service in Japan, but not at this hotel. If it’s a short stay (1-3 nights) I think it’s a really good hotel.
