Old Town Apartments

- very nice hosts, answered questions quickly and allowed early check-in - comfy rooms - comfy beds - We booked two apartments, one had a really nice kitchen - in the middle of the Düsseldorf pedestrian zone - local trains nearby (underground)

- bad room layout - one of the bedrooms is a connecting room to the shower room - one apartment had a tiny "kitchen" in the corridor - loud neighbourhood (bars and restaurants)

The beds were comfortable, apartment was small but clean and had everything you need. 5 min walk from the train station & lots of bars and restaurants around!

It was extremely loud at night (cause of all the night life I guess) and made it impossible to sleep without ear plugs :(

I was traveling alone and wanted an place in the Old Town so this apartment was just what I was looking for as the location is excelelnt for the river, the Old Town and it is about a 5-8 minute walk from the underground and about a 30-40 minute walk to the train station (I don't walk very fast). The apartment has two bedrooms, one with four single beds and one with two single beds and a sofa. There is a nice kitchen, I only used the kettle so I can't comment on anything else. There is a table and some chairs in the kitchen. The bathroom was fine with a good shower. Despite it's location it was very quiet.

As a solo traveler looking for a place to sleep in the Old Town there is nothing to not like.

The location is very beautiful that's why we choose it in the first place and didn't disappoint.

The pictures you see on Booking.com are not consistent with what you find there. The living room does not have a sofa that you can sit on during the day (at least that's the case in apartment 6), from the pictures displayed on the site you get the impression that all apartments have a terrace or balcony which is not true (it was my mistake that I did not look very carefully but that does not excuse the deception with the pictures presented). The kitchen and the utensils in the kitchen are dirty, the dishwasher is full of rust and dirty, the glasses were actually stuck to the cupboard, the water has no pressure in the bathtub and the washing machine makes such loud noises that you cannot sit in the apartment when it is turned on. Overall, just for the location of the apartment which is beautiful, it is not worth 620 euros for 3 nights.
