About this house rental
Once owned by Dr. William Oliver who invented the Bath bun and Bath Oliver! It's only 5 miles from Bath and 15mins in the car, but feels like a rural haven.. Perfect for family gatherings of up to 10 people with 5 double bedrooms and 1 other room that can take more temporary beds if required. Perfect for country walks and open fires but near enough for dinner in Bath. In the summer, relax in the large garden or visit the local pub.
Beautiful country feel but only 5miles from Bath. We love the location of the house as it feels rural, with fields to the back and woods in front of us.
You can also hire a 8 person spa hot / tub jaccuzzi for the garden to complete the Bath Spa experience. Cost £250.
Guest access
There are 5 bedrooms and three reception rooms available for you to use. Depending on your group size we also use the top room as a bedroom with two sofa beds. It is a cinema projector room - but don't get too excited its a bit a squeeze to get more than 5 adults in at a time, but allows multi-party guests to have some different spaces to chill out.
Guest interaction
We have a house manager who will normally welcome you and show you around. We are then available on the mobile for any questions that arise during your stay.
Neighbourhood overview
We do have a good local pub called The Northey and this is 1/2 mile walk.
Getting around
A bus stop is directly opposite the pub and goes 3 times and hour into the centre of Bath. Uber does operate in Bath but isn't always available.
Other things to note
We do have 3 friendly cats who are resident at the property so this property is not suitable for those with cat allergies. They are fed outside in the studio by our house manager twice a day. We do have a raised 2ft pond in the garden, so please be aware if this could cause an issue for toddlers/young children.

Booked this property for a family stay whilst attending a family wedding near by. This is a most fantastic house and the garden is magnificent. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The garden is a delight, even better than the pictures . Was disappointed with the pricing policy which indicated the property is for 10 ( 5 double bedrooms) but is priced on 5 adults so anything above this incurs an additional person charge. This is not clear in the description. Resident cats an interesting addition, holidaying with someone else’s pets is novel. Overall a fantastic property, well worth a stay.

The house was gorgeous, with a fantastic garden.
The location was ideal, we decided to use the bus into Bath as we thought that would be a lot easier than driving and parking. The bus was regular and took us straight into the centre.
The one feature that I think could have been improved was some empty drawers, space in wardrobes etc to put our clothes in.
Overall thank you, we had a lovely weekend.

We were all delighted to have the opportunity to stay in the beautiful Spa House for a weekend in May. We had all come from the US and West Africa to attend a family wedding nearby, and the house gave us an excellent place to call home in between the festivities. We were welcomed very warmly by Felicity and found the spacious and luxurious accommodation well beyond our expectations. For us, a true ‘English experience’ to complement the very happy wedding celebrations. The garden was also gorgeous and wonderful to work off some jetlag when we arrived.
