Taiwan Youth Hostel & Capsule Hotel

So many good things about this hostel from the convenient location (so close to the metro, bus stop, walkable to many places, and near to so many places to eat and convenience stores), the staff (friendly, English speaking and 24 hour reception), the space (comfortable common areas, kitchen with cooking facilities, snacks, free coffee machine, and filtered water machine), the bathrooms (clean and plenty of showers, sinks, and toilets so never a queue), the bed space (spacious, sufficient lockable storage for luggage, hooks and hangers, shelves, different lighting options, power point and USB, curtain for privacy and almost blackout), cleanliness (very clean with industrious staff frequently visible attending to the bathroom and kitchen to keep everything spotless), wifi worked well, and free towel. The hostel overall is a very quiet and peaceful with rules requesting no phone calls in the dorm room and signs in common areas reminding you to be quiet.

I found the mattress and pillow too hard. I’ve slept on plenty of firm mattresses but found it difficult to get comfortable or sleep well on this one. Nevertheless, I’d still book again as everything else was great.

This hostel is clean, convenient, and quiet. The capsules are huge and comfortable. I love that there are small snacks and tea/coffee. It feels very welcoming.

The only thing I didn’t like is that I didn’t stay longer!

Everything! In particular, I liked that the capsules were roomy, comfortable, and located in a room that was totally quiet. In fact, the entire hostel was quiet. Additionally, it offered many places to sit and work, was very stylish, and clean.

All was great!
